Compact, easy to clean, attractive
Bristles are soft enough to avoid damage to mushrooms yet strong enough to remove dirt

Soft bristles--will not damage softer vegetables
I really like the soft bristles. I use a lot of fresh mushrooms and this brush is the ticket.

Too small for my hands.
I found it hard to hold.

Very expensive
While it works well, the brush was less than Five Dollars but was mailed from UK to me in the USA for about Eight Dollars . I must have missed that somehow. I wouldn't want someone else to make the same mistake paying over $12.00's for a $4.99 item

Not Just For Mushrooms
A mushroom brush is different than a vegetable brush. The bristles are softer to clean the delicate surface of a mushroom. Always clean the surface of mushrooms with a brush rather than cleaning them with water. Mushrooms will absorb the water and thus diminish their delicate taste. You can also use a mushroom brush to clean the delicate surface of some cookie molds. Specifically cookie molds used to make springerle cookies, also called speculaas cookies. That is because the cookie molds are made of natural materials and can only be exposed to a minimum amount of water. You may also use a mushroom brush to brush away excess crumbs from the surface of a cake or cup cake to make it easier when frosting. This brush is well made and the handle is made of wood and is comfortable to use.

Seems to have held together
I've had this for a while, my last mushroom brush, the wood started splitting and I don't let it soak in water. This one seems to be doing fine, the bristles are stiff enough to clean but not too stiff like a vegetable brush, just right. My only suggestion would be to please coat the wood next time, polyurethane or whatever, it's just raw wood. So I definitely wouldn't recommend as a gift. I've tried putting mineral oil on it just to soak something in.

Cute and works well. :)
Once upon a time, I found a very sweet little mushroom brush at a thrift store that was painted to look just like a button mushroom. Then it got lost, which was unfortunate...but then I found this one! It's not exactly like the one I had in appearance, but the natural wood is just as lovely, really. A nice little mushroom brush that looks like a mushroom, and it does the job well. I like it very much. :)

Very handy little item to have around the house!
So far, so good on this item. We had a similar one for years....not sure if it was this brand...but it looked exactly the same. The one we had, the wood started cracking and finally, it just fell apart. But that was due to user error I believe. If you get the bristles wet and then set it down to dry with the wood side down....the water from the bristles soaks into the wood and then dries...and that ends up cracking the wood. I know... DUH!

Perfect for cleaning vegetables
Bought as a gift for the cook in our house. She makes a mean mushroom risotto and demanded a brush to clean the mushrooms. It works as intended and was a great buy.

Not worth the wait
Standard medium soft mushroom brush. Shipped from UK, not worth the 1 month delivery time to Canada, and not worth paying for expedited delivery.
