Lovely braces but very expensive for what they are

I purchased a less expensive pair of leather suspenders and returned/exchanged them for these from JJs. They are much nicer in quality from the thickness of the leather to the classy look of the cream colored elastic strap. They look classy with a suit and classic with blue jeans, cowboy boots and a pocket T. **Of note: I am 5’8” on a good day and I wear these on the second from or next to the last hole. It depends upon whether I use the included snap tooth closures or the (not included) snap ring closures. So, I would guess that they would fit a person from 5’7” to 6’2” or so. I cut off 5.5” from each of the ends and there is now 2.5” that extends beyond the loops. I used a new blade in a box cutter knife to carefully do a rounded trim and then used applied medium brown leather dye that I had on the cut ends. Any shade of brown would work. The photos attempt to show the cut ends and the, not included, snap rings. You can buy them in pairs (you need three so you’ll have a spare) from Amazon. They are brushed brass ¾” snap rings made by Craftmemore. I prefer to use these when wearing them with jeans. Have one pair of vintage jeans that have buttons for using the leather yokes but I have yet to try them. In short, these are expensive but worth the price in my opinion. Likewise, the snap rings are pricey but their quality is superb.

First off, the presentation and look are excellent. Even the (recyclable!) gift bag has charm and the mini sewing kit is very nifty. The color combination of the suspenders is great (the same as the product photos) and the metal has a nice aged finish. Wearing them, they feel great and sturdy. I was also impressed with the craftsmanship. The leather is quality, the hardware seems solid, and the detailing is well-done. I don’t know why but the embossed logo on the inside was actually my favorite touch. You’d only see that logo when you put them on or take them off, so it was a cool little bonus just for me. All in all, very happy with the purchase. My only note is that if you’re going to sew the included buttons on the outside of your pants (for some old school flavor) the included buttons are black. It’s probably the most universal color but something to remember.

Nice color and overall quality. Even the packaging these suspenders came in was very nice. The leather button ends were on the thinner side, but should be fine for daily wear. My only complaint was these were bigger than I expected. I'm 5'7" 230lbs. I wear 2XL shirts and normally I need XL suspenders. I wore these at the top 3rd holes. I didn't care for how much extra leather hung out and flapped around. These are also skinny suspenders, which don't fit my particular build, so I returned them. I'm impressed enough with the brand that I wouldn't hesitate to order another pair in the right size and thickness.
