This seemed like a good idea at first: having a built in battery pack for all-day use. So I put my iphone 8 into this device and it seemed very comfortable, not to heavy, and has rubberized edges that probably provide some drop protection (it is not a MIL-STD rated drop protector). Anyway, it just sat there and did not charge the phone. It did accept a lightning plug headphone, not sure if it would have worked via bluetooth or Apple CarPlay. So I pressed the button on the back, and the four lights on the back of the unit blinked four times and then went off with no effect on the phone. I then plugged it in using an Apple-certified charger and cord (it does not support wireless charging) and left it there overnight, and the phone was not charged in the morning and pressing the button on the back resulted in the same four blinks but no action, no charging. The device came with no printed instructions whatsoever and nothing popped up on Settings on the phone it self. So I returned to Amazon for a refund. Yes, I could have called or written the seller and gotten another device maybe, but seriously, how hard would it be for the seller or manufacturer to do a simple test to verify this product works before selling it? And after thinking about it, I much prefer leaving my MIL-STD drop protector around the phone and charging it wirelessly or with an Apple-certified portable battery while travelling than have this battery pack fail for some reason and damage or destroy my phone or allow it to be destroyed by not protecting adequately. (The phone and its data is worth far more than the battery pack). In fact, who knows WHAT it was doing while attached to the phone? Not worth the trouble. Not recommended. This case is pretty good. Love that it provide extra battery while still protecting the phone. I love how slim it is and not bulky like other ones. I had tested with my Iphone 8 at 20% and was able to charge it to full and still have enough battery left in the case to charge the phone again (there's 4 dots for power indication and have 2 dots left after charging from 20% to 100%).The only reason why I gave this case a 4 star is that this thing collects dust/lint/debris like there's no tomorrow. Put this in your pocket, and when you take it out, it is cover in lint/dust/debris. I think it's the material since it's like a soft silicon rubber, it seems to be a magnet to dust/lint/debris. Does have good grip because of that, but again would be perfect it it's not a dust magnet.

Just ordered my third one. I’ve literally gone through 3 or 4 of this brand. They work awesome right up until they stop charging. As far as I can tell it is the connection where you plug in the lighting cord that goes bad or looses connection. The same thing fails every time after a few months of use. I keep ordering this brand cause it’s the best one I have found. I’d say in the last 2 years I’ve tried about 10 different brands. I just keep coming back to to this one cause it’s my favorite one so far. I’ve spent $30 multiple times on stupider things. I’llKeep ordering every few months. It’s to hard not to have the extra battery now. Would be 5 stars is they could figure out why it keeps loosing connection.

My iPhone 7 does not have a headphone jack so I needed a case that had a lightning port that would work with my wired headphones. This works fine and as a bonus uses the standard Apple lightning cable for charging; no extra cable to keep track of. The case fits well and has a soft non-slip surface. The case battery will fully recharge the phone battery only once. However this means the battery is fairly slim and light and doesn’t add much bulk or weight to the phone like some of the bigger capacity battery cases. The only color choice is black. The biggest negative is the annoying repetitive audible and visual alarm when the battery reaches full charge. Despite this flaw it a good value for the price.

I have to change my review. My original 5 star review is below. I gave it 2 stars this time because if it actually worked longer than 30 days, the design is awesome. I reached out to the seller via "leave seller feedback" several days ago and I did not get a reply. Seller, are you there? I need the case almost every day so I couldn't wait any longer and had to send it back and purchase a different case. Too bad, I was really hoping the seller would contact me to fix as I loved the design and functionality...IF IT WORKED!! Seller, if you are there, please contact me as I would love to get a case that works and change my review.Original review just after receiving it in the mail:I bought a LUX case from LUX Mobile because they said to beware of "knock offs" and spent 60 bucks. It stopped working after 6 months. So bought this one, seems virtually identical to the LUX and for 20 dollars less. So if it's going to stop working, at least it will cost me less money. I'll report back if it stops working. All else aside, I love the design, feel, look, light weight and pass through lightning ear buds/charging.

I have an iPhone 7 that is operating with a maximum battery capacity of 80%. This durable, protective case allows me to go longer without a charge. Out of the box, it fully charged my phone from 15% to 100% in less than 2 hours. I used it constantly during this time. When traveling, I normally take a battery pack and charge at some point during the day. I’m looking forward to leaving those cords behind and relying on this case instead! I haven’t noticied the repeating charging notifications via USB mentioned in other posts, but I also don’t have my phone close by when charging that way. I’d buy this again, in fact I’m buying one as a gift! Enjoy!
