I chose this pattern because it's beautiful and enhances by plain black purse. Also because I live alone in a highrise apartment complex where I often am nervous in the large scary parking area under the building. I'm also often alone when I use the 33 story stairwell for exercise and I wanted a tool that would make me feel safe if I ever had to protect myself. This is a high quality item that's durable and made of a strong material. It's very fairly priced, in my opinion. You can tell it's not cheaply made and is not going to break. I'd feel very safe using this for protection if I ever have to. I imagine this would stop someone in their tracks that tried to attack me at close range. The bonus is that it's pretty, too.

This is a decent self defense tool, made of very tough and shock resistant ABS plastic. Because this weapon is marketed primarily for female hands, it is quite small and mundane in size and general appearance. Which of course is one of it's major strengths. This is NOT a big scary weapon that you would want to wave around at your attacker. But rather is designed to be shielded discreetly in the hand until needed. (If your fearful of your surroundings this tool should ALWAYS be in your hand. No weapons, guns or knives included, are as effective buried in the bottom of a backpack or purse). Many reviewers have complained that this little guy is not sharp enough. In reality it doesn't have to be. Compare the pointed tip of your Munio to the surface area of your fist for example. This tool is a significant force multiplier that directs the power of your strike into a much more finite area. Of course no sane person relishes the idea of hammering someone's face, neck, (or in a dire emergency) raking someone's genitals or eyes. I KNOW...I KNOW this sounds terrible and it is. If you can't envision yourself attacking with commitment that's OK...that tells me your probably a very nice person). But let's face it, our streets have no shortage of dangerous predators that are perfectly willing to seriously harm you simply because they can. I'm a senior male with fairly large hands and though it is a bit small for me I do carry a Munio daily. Many...many years ago (when God's dog was still a puppy) I trained in the martial art so I can definately see the utility of this tool. Yes...I'm a nice person too, but I refuse to be victimised. I hope you'll make that decision too. Buy one of these. Train with it until it feels comfortable in your hand. Though a long way from a gun, this fully LEGAL tool could help you out of a bad situation. If nothing else, it is definitely much better than nothing at all.

I have a couple of these. They make an excellent addition to any EDC to have something light, durable, and even expendable to use to open boxes, break freshness seals, and lots more. More importantly, it can give someone a sense of security and confidence to defend themselves. The price of the Munio is considerably high for a bit of plastic camouflaged as a gaudy key ring accessory, but it is made of ABS plastic, which is rated for high impact and is the 'fancy' plastic gaming keyboards are usually made of. I've used my Munio for pretty much anything I would use a sharp object for and has held its shape and is as pointy as the day I received it. I've also gotten through TSA through major cities without issue on multiple occasions. The artwork makes it as innocuous as it can probably get. The alternative I'm offering is the "Klever Kutter," also sold here on Amazon which you can get a pack of 5 for $10 or pack of 10 for $18. All you have to do to modify the Klever Kutter to become a Munio is snap off the bladed wings and file down the point. If I had to use it as intended in the context of self defense, I would use it in a grip style I've come up with that also works for utility application for when I need to make my strikes both heavy and accurate, unlike the "reverse grip" or "ice pick grip" I've seen the Munio advertised with. Holding the object between the ring and middle finger and nested in the palm generates a greater amount of force and is as natural as throwing a punch, just better because of the force multiplier at the tip. I've just started calling the technique "Suntok Dulo" which means "tip strike". Seems like a smaller individual, say a female or child, wouldn't be able to generate as much force applying a hammer fist upward to an attacker larger than themselves or have the reach / aim to strike the face. Great product I hope

I recently purchased the Munio Kubaton Safety Keychain and I am so glad I did! Not only does it add some extra flare to my keyring, but it also provides a sense of security when I'm out and about. This little device is like having a secret weapon in my pocket. It's lightweight and compact, so I can easily carry it around with me wherever I go. It's made out of sturdy material, so I know it will last me a long time. I haven't had to use it in any emergency situations yet, but I feel better knowing that I have it with me just in case. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Munio Kubaton Safety Keychain to anyone looking for an extra layer of protection. Plus, you'll feel like a ninja every time you pull it out!

I've had this since 2019 and was about to give it a review. I saw the video with the chicken and the can and I don't know what made me try it but basically the tip is now flattened lol.

I bought this because it looks user friendly. I wanted something I could carry everyday and everywhere . The pocket knife was not working. When I read the information I was intrigued. It sounded like just what i needed for everyday use. When it arrived it was very pretty ,just like the photo. It was very lite and well designed. Ok great to look at ,but would it really work, hurt someone. Didn't look like it. Well I tried it on myself , OUCH !!!.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I only did it lightly. I had to use it again ,because to look at it , it looks harmless, but when you jab and drag that sucker really hurts. I could not believe it. So you know i had show it to my friends. I let them try it on themselves lightly. Ok, I am sold ,I plan on buying a couple more ,because i don't ever want to be without one. I gave it 5 stars, even though I have not used it against an assailant, this Munio when used against someone will get their attention and they will not realise it the pretty item in your hand.
