Xtreme Bright LED Flashlight and Telescopic Magnetic Pick Up Tool - Portable Work Light - Features Tactical Flashlight Bar Light Combination

My husband says: My wife bought this item for me for Christmas. As an HVAC tradesman I thought I would test it out and write an honest review. So, here goes: As soon as took it out of the box I had a feeling it was going to be trouble. It uses two separate sets of batteries:three watch batteries to power the extendable head and three AAA batteries to power the body. It comes with the three watch batteries. I will start with the head unit. I took it apart and removed the sticker from the inside as per instructions. The head unit wouldn't power on. Upon inspection, I realized the negative contact was a flimsy piece of thin metal and would get pushed flat by the plastic holder provided to hold the watch batteries. After bending and modifying the thing piece of metal, and bending down the spring on the positive terminal, I was able to get the head unit to work intermittently. Then I tested the extendable arm. After several in and out uses, it began to bind up. After about ten or so in and outs, it broke apart. So now I have two flashlights. As for the body unit, it seems okay. I feel that for this unit to be practical it should be powered by AA batteries instead of AAA batteries as they last longer. Overall this flashlight is very flimsy and poorly constructed. As a tradesman who relies on flashlights everyday, I would not depend on this unit enough to consider keeping it in my toolbox. I would expect to buy this unit at Harbor Freight.

The brightness of this light as a work light is astounding. I originally bought it because I wanted an extendable magnet and was intrigued by the design. It may not be the best extending magnet as the extendable head is 1" in diameter, but if it fits in the opening its magnet is pretty powerful and the light is really handy. The dual magnet design is genius making the light much more versatile than most. The extending light comes with its own batteries, but I've found the battery ground (and thus the light) to be really finicky. It took me a while to figure out what needed to be done with mine to make it function consistently. The work light requires 3 AAA batteries that are not included, but is rock solid in performance and worth the price without the added functionality of the extendable magnet and light.The collapsed length of the light is 10 5/8" and it extents another 10" giving a total extended length of 20 3/4" with a diameter of 1 1/8" for the first 10" and 1 1/4" for the thicker back half.

As far as lights go, this product impresses me. It truly is a "go-to" multifunction tool. The LEDs are bright, the main body is powered by three triple A batteries, and the head by 4 LR44 batteries. This portion extends and bends to wherever you need it. Both ends feature a magnet for gripping and to position the light. It appears to be well made. My only gripe would be that I would like for the on/off switch to power both the body and head. The design now requires you to pull the light out then hit the button to use as a standard flashlight...its minor when considering all the other uses - I still give it 5 stars in my book!

This is a very useful product that I would buy again. I purchased two of them as gifts. Really quite a nifty little light. The only thing I will say is that I thought it was bigger. It's really pretty small. I guess if you think about it, the smaller size makes it even more useful. Read the dimensions so you know what you are purchasing. Also, it is blindingly bright. Seriously. It will leave you seeing stars. Definitely want one of my own.

An excellent addition to my toolbox and for general use around the house. This well made flashlight provides all the light I will need for the majority of work 'challenges'. The flex light has already saved looking for smaller flashlights that I would have had to search for previously to get in those tight places. Well worth buying. I had a small issue that needed clarification from the manufacturer (Triumph Innovations) and was surprised at how quickly and thorough their response was in providing that clarification. As far as I am concerned, they are a first class business. I am glad I bought it and would buy it again.

I purchased two of these lights one keeps going on and off when it's in the on position. Changed batteries same issue happens. The second light works perfect.Edit,I received the replacement light from the manufacture and it works perfect. Great customer service. I received the new light a few days later.

Very well constructed. The bar light illuminates a wide area brightly and evenly. The gooseneck on the flashlight/magnet is super convenient. My only concern is how long the battery will last for the flashlight, as it is powered by a watch-type battery, rather than by the AAA's that power the bar light.

Very happy with the power and quality of the light overall. The only problem so far is the front light. It does not illuminate every time it is turned on. I have to position it just right in order for it to light. A bit frustrating as I use it as a light when working on industrial equipment in my shop.
