My dermatologist had these in her office for painful procedures. I liked them so much I bought a set of my own so that I could use them at doctor appointments and firming tattoos. Comes in three consistancies. Soft, mid, and firm. Fairly large for my hands. Love the silicone texture. No noticeable smell. Designed to fit in your hand well. Easy to use. And great for anything, pain distraction and hand exercise.

Wanted them for arthritic hands. None of these are soft enough for weak hands and fingers. Like the shape and size. But not for someone just trying to maintain some functionality of arthritic hands. Your hands are never going to get better. Just trying to keep them from getting worse.

I recently tried out the Peradix Stress Relief Balls and enjoyed my time using them. The three balls are egg shaped and have vibrant colors. Each ball has different resistance levels, but I didn't notice too much of a difference between them. When first using the stress balls, they had a bit of tackiness to them and easily picked up lint on my desk. However, after some regular use and a rinse, the tackiness disappeared. The size of the balls are very good, especially for my large hands. Overall, the Peradix Stress Balls are a great way to get some hand muscle relief, especially for the price point.

These balls are not as strong/powerful as for example the hand grippers (like IronMind) but oh so much more pleasant. They also work well as a stress reliever rather than heavy duty grip strength training. I have one in my bag, one in the car, and use it whenever I am close to it. My hands are beat up from playing golf, and hanging, and doing handstands and I can definitely feel a difference when I work regularly on strengthening my hands. I also add the extension strengthening to even out this ball squeezing (flexing). The balls are easy to clean, and would be also a good gift to someone who uses hands a lot, or to an aging friend or parent, who needs to get their hands strong and functional.
