This does fill the hole, not to be confused with fits the hole..: You would think with all of our technology that can find a plug that fits tight without having to back it up with duct tape on the backside. When you close the lid the prongs from inside do put pressure on it to help hold in place but not the best design

This part fit my meter box perfectly - held in place snug and securely by the taps on the box. Great finished look and easy way to prevent wasps from using the empty meter box as a new home. This closing plate was thicker and more substantial than I was expecting - great product!

My first thought when i opend the package was WTH. How do you hold it in place with no fasteners. Upon investigsting i realized that the metal brackets in the meter base keeps it from going back and the recess in the meter cover keeps it from coming forward. Further, the back of this plate is recessed the perfect amount to sandwich the cover in place side to side and up and down. So once the plate is in place it cannot move in any direction. Great right? Well...not exactly. There is really no way to keep the plate in place while putting the cover on. From my perspective its basically impossible if not dangerous with hot lugs. What i did was turn the cover on its face and centered the cover plate in the recess. Then put a spot of hot glue on each side where the cover meets the plate. Then placed the cover on. Worked perfectly and it doesnt move. Overall i would recommend this but i wish there was an easy way to snsp it in place enough to hold it while the cover is installed. Most electician probable do not carry a hot glue gun.

Exactly what we needed to correct a failed electrical inspection.

Fits very well and it's a great alternative to hiring someone to cover the empty meter or replace that part of the siding altogether. The back has some plastic thing that makes it so that it doesn't fall further in and the meter plate that has the hole will hold it in place such as the picture. It feels very sturdy. Good choice.

Great idea for closing up the meter housing once meter is removed. Simply open the housing put this cover where the meter was and close it. This even has plastic spades on the inside.

Perfect fit to cover a blank electrical meter box opening that doesn't have the meter. Good quality plastic. Good finish. Looks great and does the job perfectly. Will buy again.
