Really good looking watch. Belies the low cost. Every part of it looks the business. Larger face than most watches. Easy to set and simple instructions included. Nice tin for gifting purposes. Accuracy is decent enough. Japanese digital movement, so no reason for it not to be. Only gripe is the analogue face and digital readout slip out of sync by a few seconds over a week. All depends how desperate you are to have a nuclear watch accurate to Pieco-seconds. Updated. Bought the 'white face ' normal size dial version too as I was impressed with the black large face original. Obviously not white, it's silver (but for anyone who cannot tell the difference I will confirm it isn't white). Just as nice as the original purchase, same price as before and similar attributes. 1/11/20. Bought another Spotalen. Getting a bit habit forming, but why not? They are really great value, and do the job. If I was to be vaguely critical, the silicon wrist strap may cause skin irritation if worn for a long time as opposed to stainless steel or leather. Doesn't bother me, but be aware if you have any allergies. 18/6/21. Bought another black one. This time the standard face size. Otherwise identical and still ridiculous value. Really don't need it, but Hell, why not?

I was expecting a fairly cheap looking watch for the price paid, but I am amazed at what I have received.This watch came in a tin. which meant that the chances of damage in transit was minimal. The watch is much larger than I had anticipated, but that said, this is an absolutely super watch for the price which I paid. The quality is excellent, and although a bit on the heavy side (only down to the quality of the materials from which it is made) looks super on my wrist and keeps excellent time. The only (small) complaint I have is that the instructions are very small (only to be considered as they came in the tin with the watch). That said, these instructions were easy to follow, and I had no issues in setting all of the functions. I am extremely satisfied with this product, and would certainly recommend this watch to any would be buyers.

First impressions are always important and my first impressions of this watch on opening the box were totally positive. It looks and feels like quality item, although was a bit bigger that I expected. When I showed it to my father for the first time the first thing he said was `thats an expensive watch' and was surprised at the price. So top marks all round so far. Having said that I do think the day and date windows are rather small and can get hidden by the hands. A small detail but in certain situations rather irritating. But apart from that there is little to criticise. The strap is sturdy and well made as is the watch itself. I would not hesitate to recommend this watch to someone. Just the small window issue depriving it of the full five stars. If I could give 4.5 stars I would.

Ok dainty is not a word you would use to describe this watch, it's big. There it is in the photo compared to my regular watch. My regular watch cost just under £200 so wearing it for every day use was resulting in small scratches so I bought this Talen watch as a throw away cheapo. Amazon advertised it for £21 but after viewing it a few times they cast the hook for £17.50 inc pp and I bit. Ordered it Saturday night and it arrived Monday. The watch itself is quite a good looking watch but a bit bulky, even so it wouldn't look out of place even when wearing a suit. The instructions for setting up are generic to digital watches but easy enough to understand. The light only illuminates the digital element of the watch but the read out is exceptionally clear. The silicone strap looks quality with chromed inserts, on a personal note I would've liked to have been able to replace it with a military style nylon strap but the strap forms an integral part of the watch. That being said the strap appears strong and firmly attached to the watch. The watch arrived in a smart presentation box with a see through lid. If you didn't tell them the price this would make an expensive looking present. Can't tell you how durable the watch is yet but it certainly looks the business. Marty

Well...when it says large face...boy is it large! I'm 6'3" and 20 stone, not a small chap and am used to large watches...but this bad boy is a unit and a half! It cost 16 quid! It's well made, looks good and has quite a few useful functions. Buy it, you really won't be disappointed but take note, unless you like to carry round Big Ben with you or are used to having a police tracker strapped to your ankle, go for the normal size. Tremendous value for money, not sure on the lifetime but it does gave a 2 year warranty so hey, what the heck, go for it. Its definitely staying with me, has a real techno charm. I don't think it's an army issue device...the enemy will see you coming a mile away...but it looks cool and once again, at under 20 quid is a great bit of kit.

My first impressions on opening the box is that it was better than I expected. It was larger than I thought. Nice watch. Looks more expensive than what I paid for it. However, it is not a watch I would use at work, it's too good for that. My only issue at this point is the date - it puts the month first and underneath the day. I am not American but British, so that is the only thing I do not like. Can it be altered, I do not know. The analogue was fine. I had a previous watch and I had to digitally alter the hands using buttons. This watch has a traditional style wind around, so that is a plus. For the £18 I paid it is a great buy.

I was looking for a large strapped watch when I came across this watch. Functionality wise, it's basic, tells the time, both digital and analogue, has a stop watch and that's it. It's got a big screen which was a big draw for me. When I received it, the straps are long but it's very tight where the metal bars are on the straps, not very flexible. After a few days I noticed coloration on my skin and dry skin irritations around the are where my watch sits. As you can tell from the pictures the colour of the watch is coming off and actually dying my skin. It's so frustrating as nothing can be done regarding the watch now as its used for its basic purpose, but i would not recommend going for black. Go for another colour, one that preferably won't come off and dye your skin. In all my years of wearing watches ALL THE TIME, this has got to be the worst for discolouration, especially as it stains my skin. I don't know whatbelse can be done, just be more aware of what colour watch you order first!

This was a gift for my father as he doesn't like wearing his nice watches at work. Due to the type of work he's in he needs a certain type of watch this fitted all the boxes and was easy to use ( he says ) . Good value , great quality would recommend. ( feels very well made)

...und auch sehr groß! Dazu muss ich natürlich erwähnen, dass ich sie mit dem großen Ziffernblatt bestellt habe. Ich stehe auf recht große Uhren, und hier erfüllt die "SPOTALEN Uhr" alle Erwartungen. Vor allem wollte ich auch endlich eine Uhr, bei der ich Abends was erkennen kann. Ein kurzer Klick auf den linken oberen Knopf, und zack, erscheint für einige Sekunden, so ca. 4 bis 5, aber absolut ausreichend, die Uhrzeit plus Datum und Wochentag, in einer schicken grünen LED-Anzeige. Auch bei Helligkeit ist die Uhr ein Blickfang, was natürlich auch an der Größe liegen kann. Für Leute, die es lieber etwas kleiner hätten, wäre dann wahrscheinlich das gewöhnliche Ziffernblatt angesagt. Bisher kann ich nur Positives über diese Uhr berichten, vor allem, was auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis angeht. Ich habe sie, dank einem Rabattgutschein, für 24€ bekommen. Dies ist eigentlich kaum zu toppen. Was auch noch zu erwähnen ist, sie lässt sich sehr leicht einstellen, und dazu gibt es auch noch eine Beschreibung in deutsch, was auch nicht unbedingt üblich ist. Unbedingte Kaufempfehlung!
