Kojie San - Kojic Acid Soap - 135g - Reduces Dark Spots and Evens Skin Tone

Good product and value for money. Use twice daily. Has actually started to 'fade' some dark patches...will take time to 'see a real difference'...perseverance is the key..must 'use' SPF after to 'protect' skin...well recommended. Thank you. 😊

First of all this soap. WORKS. I was terrified to use it at first even though the reviews were mostly positive there were a few negative ones which put me off a little. I would recommend doing some research on the product and making sure you find out what your skin type is before you use this, as I believe it will affect certain skin types in different ways. I suffer from hyperpigmentation and quite bad acne. My cheeks are covered in acne scars and my forehead is darker in the centre and lighter around the edges, things got so bad that my nose became lumpy, scarred and weepy with the constant cystic pimples that kept coming out of nowhere. The same goes for my face, forehead and chin so i snapped and decided to try this out. I cut 1/5th of the bar and applied it for no more than 60 seconds just in case i had a bad reaction to the soap. the initial result was brighter tighter and impossibly smooth skin, the inflamed areas were soothed, the pimples were reduced somewhat in size and in general my whole face was calmed, it is a very drying soap so i followed this by using a little natural unrefined shea butter (you can buy this on Amazon too) I continued for the next two weeks twice a day for 60 seconds morning and night and each time i would see more improvements in my complexion, the following two weeks after that my skin is now used to the soap and i gradually increased the time i left the soap on my face, two minutes, three minutes, ect however at the moment i am only able to leave it on for 5 minutes. Like all the other reviews say it is wise to use a high SPF if you are using this soap especially if you are in a sunny climate, if you are having skin problems and do not know what else to do I highly recommend this soap, having spent a ton of money on expensive designer skin exfoliators, cleansers, toners. None of them come close to Kojie San, who have actually fixed the problem. Lastly i would not say this is a skin lightening soap as this is not my goal, it has a brightening effect and fades dark spots and helps restore your natural skin tone as well as preventing bad outbreaks of acne. However I will report back in a few months if i do notice any skin lightening effects. At the moment i am overjoyed with being able to see my natural clear skin for the first time in years. UPDATE: I now only need use this soap occasionally - if I'm ever having a truly bad skin day, it's not suited to everyone but initial regular use fixed the pimples and severe discolouration. I am confident to leave the house without makeup on now. clearer, smoother and even toned skin is the result and I no longer need it daily. Once a month at most? I haven't observed any skin lightening effects so if you're looking for that you may well be disappointed. Overall. Fantastic product. No more volcano skin 😂

First of all I would like to say it really does work and I would call it a brightening soap, it will lighten your skin, but not drastically giving it a more even tone. When I first got the soap I was not sure how to use it so I went on youtube to find out how others applied it. I have since done some research on how to apply kojic acid soap to optimize the effectiveness of the product. When I watched a YOUTUBE video of Dr Oz (he used to be on the Oprah Winfrey Show) endorsing kojic acid soap. I decided to give it a try, as others have said, slowly build up the length of time you leave it on your skin. The first time I used kojie san it was stinging so I washed it off straight away, now I can leave it on my face for half an hour before washing my face. Do not expect drastic changes in a short space of time It is a slow process. below is information directly from the manufacturer on how to use the soap. 1. How long does it take for kojic acid soap to work? Kojic soap can lighten skin in 2-3 months. According to OptiDerm, it takes about three months for kojic to fully give you visible results. However, results still depend on the color of skin you begin with. Darker skin will have to wait longer compared to lighter ones. Nevertheless, patience is a virtue. 2. Kojic acid soap is super effective in lightening skin. Although two months is the target time frame, kojic begins to work its perks in as little as a week. You would feel a tingling sensation due to the exfoliation process. 3. Kojic acid is the active ingredient that causes major changes in a small span of time. Kojic acid is the main ingredient together with vitamin A, C, E, AHA, glycerine and grape seed extract. 4. Kojic soap can be used every day for optimum results. Its a really good face soap but it does not lighten your skin and i had been using it everyday for 5 months. I am black with a light-medium skin tone but i had some hyperpigmentation on the sides of my face so i wanted to even out my skin. The soap is really good for exfoliating your face and smells amazing but it really doesn't lighten your skin. If you want to lighten your skin i suggest you use it with a lightening cream or something because it just didn't do anything but give me a nice cleansed face.

I have been using this alongside dry brushing for over a year to remove scars left from lichen planus, its faded so much quicker when i put this into my routine that i couldnt be without it now. Leaves my skin feeling so soft after, lathers up alot too

Love the product. The bars are small, as to be expected since it is only 65g. I've used it for about a week, and I can say it is rather effective. The results aren't instant, it's a gradual thing. However, I have seen my skin become brighter. I had heard it was also good for lightening scars, I don't know how true that is since it hasn't been more than a week. Maybe if I apply it only on the scars but that is difficult to do with soap. I also heard that the product is harsh on skin, and whilst that maybe true I have yet to have any issue with it despite having eczema. Although, I do make sure to moisturise a lot more, since I started using the product. Wouldn't recommend using it without a moisturiser afterwards. On a side note, it smells super good.
