Question 1

I only want heat to come out of half my vent (couch covers part of it). Could I leave the vent open and use this to just cover half?

Accepted Answer

Monitor the vents in general. Only allow access to rooms you NEED. I purchased these in hopes to trick my hallway thermostat... it totally worked and along with vent control I now only cool my room and the hall that access’ the thermostat (this allows for the air to only be distributed amongst rooms I actually use).I have also found that even if I reduce the flow of air (like you’ve expressed regarding your sofa) it’s cut the air time down SIGNIFICANTLY. Cool the parts of the house you need and sweat cleanse in the others. These $5 vent covers will change your home life as well as your outward perspective of consumption and conservation.

And hopefully your electric bill!

Question 2

This won't work on a floor vent? the description says ceiling and wall...i don't see floor.

Accepted Answer

Our magnetic covers perform well on floor registers as will as sidewall and ceiling registers. Our Customer Service Team would be happy to assist with any other questions. 1-877-531-7470. Thanks!
