Yes! Finally a great all purpose vacuum that can’t be killed
Firstly : This is not a paid review. So you don’t have to scan for the magic words hidden in so many reviews. I love this thing for real. I bought this vacuum 6 months ago and waited to see what I really thought. Amazing! I’ve killed 2 different $300 Dysons so I needed a better option & read up on Consumer Reports. Shark has one of the lowest breakage rates. I can see why. It has easy to open connections to clear blockage. The can is large capacity & catches larger objects in a 1st compartment. Very easy to switch between hose, hard floor, carpet brush on the fly without turning off the unit. I have a huge great room in the country with two Great Danes & a husband who doesn’t take off his boots. I collect enough dirt & fur in a day to pot a plant in. We have wood floors with a few rugs, some stairs and large baseboard ledges. I can use the thumb switch on the handle to go from hardwood to rug without missing a beat. The hose detaches easily to run the baseboards, stairs, around dog beds. Nice feature of the hose is that you can use the extended long tube or the short tube handle - and you can use the short handle without having to unwind the power cable. With my old Dyson you could only use the hose if you unwound the power cable completely. Also on the hose is a suction control near the handle - basically opens up to let air in & release some suction. You are probably used to getting stuff stuck on the end of the hose and hearing the motor try to eat itself sucking the blockage. This saves the motor & makes fixing this quick & easy. I also use the vacuum with carpet brush on to go over my large loose canvas covered dog beds. Sucks the hair right off. I wasn’t thrilled with the plastic & purple color - not sure why vaccuums have to be colored like they are superheroes. But I can see how light this thing is & why they use plastic. The swivel head turns really easily. This thing is easy to maneuver. Only notes are that when using the hose the main unit doesn’t roll smoothly on it own & tends to fall over. It doesn’t hurt it but it’s annoying- so you keep one hand on the top handle. Also when using the hard floor (rolling brush off) pet fur can gather on the rollers so I occasionally flip the brush rollers on to get the hair off. I remembered to write this review after being at a party where someone pulled out their Shark to clean up tiny broken glass bits. Oddly enough, we all had Sharks & said how much we loved them. Though I will say a few ladies lived alone & had cheaper, smaller units - loved theirs for their own situation. I’m not sure anything smaller would work for us. Oddly the Comsumer Reports gave this vacuum a lesser rating on pet hair than my old Dyson. I don’t see it. I think it’s great with pet hair & I don’t feel like I’m going to have to replace this anytime soon. Hope this helps! I hate buying vacuums too.

Like the professional deluxe navigator but better!
I have 2 Aussies (lots of hair everywhere) plus carpeted stairs. I had a used shark professional deluxe for 7 years (still worked perfectly) and loved the performance- suction was good as my tri star canister vacuum but this is better for stairs with the powered lift away. It picks up the hair and dirt and can get under my sofa and China cabinet. I do need to clean out the brush a couple times (1100 sq ft home) as hair wraps , but it is easy to do, no need to pull out roller and do it like with the shark rotator with the pet brush (I sent that back). It pulls off easily. It also has a handheld powered attachment that is good for upholstery and car seats/carpet, though rather small for stairs. The crevice tool is good for picking up hair and dust around things on tables, though my old small brush attachment was better at it getting the dust. All in all a great vacuum that picks up hair with really strong suction (you may need to dial it down) and a very effective power head… that detaches with the canister! Easy to empty and rinse out dust bin. Reliable product.

A disposable vacuum -- worked 6 months
This worked about 6 months and the belt broke (I think... the rolled stopped spinning). The instructions for replacing the belt are ridiculous. You need special torque screwdrivers (several sizes), and basically need to disassemble the whole unit to replace the belt. Apparently this is meant to be a disposable vacuum as no one wants to pay someone $200 or spend 5 hours to replace a belt.

Great suction!
I love the appearance of this beautiful purple vacuum. The ability to lift the bin to vacuum under beds and furniture is awesome as a house cleaning, although when I have to use the hose attachment, it’s way too short and doesn’t stretch far often tipping the vacuum over. It is a bit heavier then a couple other shark vacuums I have. But overall it had great suction and is easy to maneuver and clean.

Better than my Dyson animal vacuum
I bought this vacuum after my Dyson Ball Animal vacuum died. I was super frustrated with the flimsy, breakable plastic parts on the Dyson, which began breaking shortly after we bought it. The Dyson lasted us just over 5 years. With all that said, I began looking for a different bagless vacuum. I ended up with the shark power lift-away DLX. I have now had this vacuum almost 3 months and I love it more each time I use it! It’s pretty light weight, with two convenient ways to carry it. The wand detaches in two spots for shorter or longer reach. The trash collecting compartment fully detached from the main vacuum for easy reach with the wand. We found this out when my 3 year old was pushing all the buttons. It is ver easy to go from wand to vacuum and back and carpet to floor, without turning the vacuum off. Overall the best parts of this vacuum are: Very user friendly So far strong plastic connectors Light weight Great suction ( I have two dogs and two kids, and it cleans it all up;)) Less expensive than similar Dyson models Easy to empty the trash collector bin Cons: Cored is too short ( I added an extension cord) Gets into corners, but the suction on the bottom of the vacuum doesn’t reach the edges of the vacuum ( if that makes sense) I would definitely recommend this vacuum over a Dyson if you are considering the two!

Best Vacuum I have ever used
Bought NV360 and upgraded to NV586...BIG difference and worth the extra money if you can afford it. 586 has great suction, lights, controls on the handle, 1 button container release button and can get under the bed! I previously owned a Shark so I was familiar with the brand. The electric cord is 18" shorter than previous model and there is no light on the wand (pole) when detached. Both minor inconveniences. I love it.
