I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this weighted blanket. I absolutely love it! I chose this because it is high quality & chemical free cotton, has lead-free glass beads for weight, and it is machine washable and safe for the dyer. Many other weighted blankets are not machine washable and require an expensive and awkward cover. This one doesn't need a cover since it is machine washable, although it appears the company offers some lovely covers if you really wanted one. (I also checked out the Baloo website and facebook page. I even contacted the company with a question and received a cheerful and informative response). This is the softest cotton and very well made--such high quality. (I had been having trouble falling asleep and woke up multiple times through the night...friends suggested a weighted blanket....I did my research and decided on this Baloo. It took some getting used to the first two nights, and after that I have been sleeping better than I have in years! I fall asleep well and stay asleep through the night now with this blanket. It was worth every penny!). Although I have a queen bed, I chose this mini size and it is perfect for just me, and also easy to carry to the couch for a nap!

After using the Baloo blanket for three nights i can see a change in my day to day routine. I wake up in the morning more energized. I can tell I am sleeping deeper and the weight from the blanket gives me the comfort feeling of being hugged or 'grounded.' I tried this blanket on a whim and am so thankful I did. This blanket helps me fall asleep faster and stay asleep instead of waking up multiple times within the night (which i use to do). I am so looking forward to climbing into bed tonight! I have tried many things to help my stress and anxiety and this is the only thing that has worked for me. I can say honestly that this blanket is the best purchase I have made this year. I still have my duvet and have used used this blanket to put on top of it - I like a lot of layers. The quality of the linen for the cover and pillow cases I purchased are a wonderful quality - very soft and doesn't make me hot. Also a side note, i have a dog who is about 14 years old and he often sleeps in bed with me. The other morning when he was restless i pulled him under the blankets with me and he very quickly fell back asleep. In short... I love love love Baloo weighted blankets - I am a side sleeper for the most part so I got the 15 pound one and i am very very happy!!!!

Mine arrived so much before the due date, was surprised, I have used it only two nights, and fallen in love with it, well it is Winter and cotton breathes better, so I believe I will be able to use it when gets warm. in gently cradles your body, and puts pressure on your body evenly, so it feels like it swaddles you like a baby. and it feel great, I slept really good. and sleeping does not come easy with chronic pain, from being acrobat and landing in a chiro office for years. My spinal alignment has been crazy from neck to tail. and this is what really helped. to sleep.

Prior to finding Baloo brand, I purchased several other weighted blankets and was quickly displeased with the fabric and the way beads bunched up in pockets. I actually hate polyester bedding and also considering the hot summers where I live I knew they would be a nightmare. I searched all over for 100% cotton weighted blankets, found one that said it was cotton but had a polyester fill.. NO WAY!! Well luckily I found the Baloo brand and realized the cost is higher due to the quality of materials and better design and assembly. Before Black Friday came I first purchased the Silver Sage in 15lbs. I truly loved it! But aesthetically it would look wonky with my bedroom colors. I originally wanted a blue one but since they didn't have it I settled. Later I got the blue linen duvet cover which was alright and used all the ties. The duvet still slipped at night.. I then wondered if I needed a heavier weight so I returned the silver sage, kept the duvet and got a 20lb in pebble white. That weight was a dream come true and put me to sleep almost faster but I also learned to put my comforter on top of the Baloo blanket instead. After many nights the duvet on the weighted blanket still slipped around and shifted which was annoying. I also noticed that I was waking up with sore shoulders and neck if I slept with the blanket up to my neck as sleeping sideways. I read other reviews and realized that I should stick with the 15lb blanket and in doing so that's when I saw there was a new one in a Navy Blue!! This was what I wanted originally so I was excited and didn't need a duvet that would shift around. I still tried the 20lb out a few more days and liked it but still was a bit too heavy to pull on the bed and plus since I have a black kitty I didn't want all his hairs to show up. I cleaned off the pebble white blanket amd will be returning it. The Luna blue color is absolutely beautiful and it's the perfect weighted blanket that makes all my dreams come true 💙 also I am keeping the box :-) as you can see my Panther loves it and its the perfect size for him too! It's literally taken me YEARS to create my natural bed. It is not cheap and is a lot healthier and suggest others do the same as our health is contingent on our sleep. Worth every penny and definitely worth the weight! . I highly recommend this brand due to the sustainable and all natural materials and quality . I will probably purchase from their website a throw or something if I can get on discount. Someone else did mention they had shoulder pain with the 20lb blanket so keep that in mind depending how you sleep.

I bought the 15 lb version for my wife as a birthday present. She is 120 lb back sleeper who is extremely sensitive to any type of disturbance to her sleep routine. She did not like it. She felt like she was being crushed. She was worried about hurting herself when making the bed. She assured me that it must be a 20 lb blanket because it is so hard to move (even though the tag showed it was a 15 lb blanket). She was also concerned that it was a queen size cover and she has a king size bed. So I took it for use on my bed. I slept better than I have in months. Every night I used to toss and turn and wake up and lay there for hours. I am now getting 7 hours of sleep. I think it is great. She decided to buy a 10 lb blanket somewhere else. Still too heavy. We spun it sideways so it is only across her lower half. She now likes the new one. The short story is that a weighted blanket can make for a positive sleeping experience. Buy one and give it a try. If you don't like it then return it. The caution would be if you are buying it as a present then don't get it way in advance and use up most of the return period.

I bought this for my spouse to try, as they are dealing with Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) and sleep apnea, as well as chronic pain issues. They are also prone to nightmares, which are sometimes associated with sleep apnea. I did a lot of research and read lots of reviews and finally settled on this one. It has been wildly successful in improving the quality and duration of their sleep. Often they would wake early in the morning after only 5 or 6 hours of sleep and not be able to fall back asleep. With this blanket we are happy to say it’s more like 8 hours of restful deep sleep. As the person sharing the bed, I can observe the sleep is more peaceful with much less tossing and turning, and much less leg movement. It’s made a huge difference in the quality of sleep! We have a king bed and this works perfectly for his half of the bed. It does overlap onto my side by about 8 inches, but I roll that up toward the center, which makes a heavy part and helps keep it from sliding off the bed. If you let too much of it hang off the side of the bed gravity will pull it, so be mindful. It would be the perfect size for a twin. We choose the 20 lb, he likes it. It does make him a bit hot, but we were able to solve that by turning our AC down 2 degrees. The baffles are sewn with extra smaller panels and really helps keep the beads distributed well. The fabric is beautiful and there are tabs for using inside a duvet cover, if desired, but it would be too hot for him. We have had absolutely no issues finding sand in the bed, which was a common complaint almost every other weighted blanket had. I haven’t washed it yet, but we have a cat that likes sleeping on it and using the upholstery attachment on my vacuum has kept it fur free. I tried it and within five minutes I had to get out from under it. It was just too much for me and really bothered my feet to have something that heavy on them, regular blankets are fine for me. On the other hand, within five minutes my spouse was almost asleep for an afternoon nap, which never happens. You will either love it or leave it in our experience! 11/17/18: thanks to a cat with poor litter box hygiene I had to wash the blanket. I have front load machine and washed it on gentle, as per the directions. I thought it might bunch up and not tumble correctly due to the weight, but it worked perfectly. And it actually dried faster than a regular quilt or duvet because the weight kept it from rolling into a ball. The cotton is a little less smooth than before washing, which is to be expected.

I had heard about these types of weighted blankets, and also got a recommendation from a friend about them as well. So decided to get one, and it has been wonderful. I sleeps so well and so soundly. I would say it took about 3 nights before I was able to get used to that extra weight, but after that I have been sleeping better. Even my wife says I’m not snoring at all most nights. The blanket is nice and sewn well and no gaps or missed stitches. Nice weight to it, and has recommended weights proportional to sleepers weight. I also got a duvet cover, to keep the blanket itself clean. It doesn’t add too much heat at all, great for those warmer months. I live in San Diego, and it’s mostly on the warm side. All in all a great choice for a weighted blanket. And it’s amazon, if you don’t like it, simply return it. I do most of my returns to a local Kohl’s and it’s as easy as just waiting in line and dropping it off. Done at the longest 1 hour, you will get refunded.

I weigh 145 lbs and I purchased the 20 lb blanket. I was originally going to return it because it felt a bit too heavy for me initially. After about a week, though, I'm deciding to keep it. Yes, with another blanket on top it still does feel a bit over-the-top ;) however, sleeping with it by itself feels perfect for me. I'm sure when it gets colder in the winter I'll appreciate being able to throw another layer over it and still feel like it has enough weight. By then I'll be much more accustomed to the weight. The blanket is extremely well made. The stitching and threading is nicely done, and the 100% cotton fabric breathes well. I have a nice washed cotton duvet cover over it, which complements it perfectly. The glass beads do not shift around like they do in other blankets I have tried, and the blanket itself just feels high quality. I'm glad I paid more for a blanket that is made well instead of having had to deal with inferior materials, craftsmanship, and all the worries from annoying problems associated with badly made, cheaper, lower quality weighted blankets. When it comes to getting a good night's sleep, I don't want any nagging issues. I just want it to work. This certainly help with my insomnia, and helps me get to sleep a lot faster than I used to. A worthwhile investment for sure. I wholeheartedly recommend Baloo weighted blankets for quality rest and a good night's sleep. 5/5

My son has sensory processing sensitivities so I’ve known about weighted blankets for a while but this is the first time I’ve found one that is certified organic cotton and that isn’t full of plastic microbeads. We decided to give it a try and it is indeed everything we hoped for. My son’s sleep has improved and it really does seem to soothe him. I have borrowed it a few times for the deepest, most restful naps. It is honestly dreamy! I think we need to buy another so we don't have to share! Highly recommend!

I had contacted customer service when looking for a weighted blanket although could not find chemical free cotton that is cool and breathable all year round, available for purchase in canada. They shared they were going make they would notify me when it occurred with great follow through. No surprises with exchange rate, duties and it arrived within a few days after purchase. It is beautifully made and very soft. Obviously good quality and I love that I covers my bed and is long covering my feet as well as being able to be pulled up high to snuggle around my neck, unlike the throw style. Premium quality for sure. Upon opening I felt like I was receiving a gift and absolutely love how they displayed the free gift. The quality of sleep I'm getting from this weighted blanket is wonderful. I sleep so well, that I hardly move during the night - such a change from my previous tossing and turning.
