Needed a peel for my little Cuisinart Pizza Oven/Griddle/Grill and this fits just right. Arrived with shiny unblemished surfaces on both sides. Sturdy handle and not too thick or thin metal for the size. I did end up shortening the handle by about 8"; once I used it, I realized my grill (and my indoor oven) don't need the reach of the long handle, and I was always holding it halfway down for stability anyway. As a perpetually clumsy person, there's a good chance that at some point I'd hit the end of the handle that sticks out behind me when I go in or out the door and send the pizza frisbee-ing off into the ground. A few swipes with a hand saw and a quick sanding and it is now customized to my liking. It's working great after several test pizzas and cleans up like new.

In a world where pizza making supplies cost an arm and a leg, it's nice to know that this peel exists. It feels good in the hand and is well built. The profile is thin, which makes launch a breeze. I even use this to rotate my pizzas in place of a round turning peel, and it works great. I bought mine 1.5 years ago and felt compelled to write a review, because it's still going strong after over 700 pizzas. Couldn't be happier with it.

I have been using this pizza peel for a couple of weeks when baking bread and pizza. It works best for taking the bake out of the oven since it is pretty thin. But I would not suggest using it for putting the dough inside the oven; in this case you would need huge amount of flour to prevent dough sticking to the peel.

Thin, sturdy, and doesn't have a lot of flex. I've used it a few times for grilling pizza on a stone and it does a perfect job getting it in and out. No issues with welds and I'm glad I got the longer handle.

Wow. For the price I wasn't expecting much but I wasn't looking to spend a lot on an item that I don't use that often. I'm really shocked at the quality of this peel at this price. Easily a restaurant quality peel for low end consumer price and American made to boot. The handle is quality but unfinished as others have mentioned. You could easily leave as is but I chose to seal it with some shellac. There is no issue with flimsy metal on this piece like I've seen in similar product reviews. This is solid and very sturdily constructed. You'll need a place to store it...with the handle, it is not something most folks have room for normally. Drill a hole in the handle and hang it in the broom closet or pantry which is what I did. I have a grill based brick oven and needed a peel that would fit inside the oven. My pizza oven is 13" wide so this 12" wide peel is perfect. After a disaster with my wood peel that was too wide and too rough to slide the pizza into the oven, I'm glad I got this. We may be eating more homemade pizzas now.

I bought this listed used "Very Good" at a great price and it was delivered from the Amazon Warehouse. It arrived on time, in a ridiculously huge box via UPS. Other's have complained about the protective blue film being difficult to remove. I had no problem whatsoever removing the film, even from the embossed logo. The reason may have been because the package sat out in the sun for a few hours at 103 degrees and that heat softened the film. The peel is both sturdy and we'll made in the USA too! The handle is a bit rough, but hitting it with some fine sandpaper will take care of that quickly. I will also be giving it a coat or two of boiled linseed oil to enhance the look and longevity. The peel blade is perhaps a bit small for anything larger than 12" pizza, but the edges are smooth and nicely made. Overall a great buy and great value, especially if you're able to find one used like I did.

Purchased to use in our wood fired pizza oven. Does what it is suppose. Right size and length.

Great quality product, feels really sturdy and has absolutely no problem transferring a raw pizza dough to the oven - no sticking, no tearing, just as you'd expect (after a light flour). Feels good in the hand and is just long enough to be useful without being unwieldy. My only problem would be the protective plastic on the top of the peel when delivered was riveted to the top which meant no matter how much you try and get it out there will be some plastic below the handle. Overall very happy.

Perfect size for my cast iron pizza skillet.
