Bormioli Rocco Frigoverre Square Glass Food-Storage Containers with Lids, Set of 3

They were just what we wanted for solid storage containers. The lid seals very tithing annd the square shape fits nicely in the refrigerator. Unfortunately the small container came broken. I returned it an was shipped a new set in a couple of days in broken. The only down said to these containers is that they break easily.

Heavy - but real good quality and looks great!May 16, 2017: This is an update to my original review. I have had these containers for just over six months now and have used them about twice a month. In January, I used one in the microwave and when I reached in to remove it the entire top of the glass container had split off from the bottom of the container. It was unexpected and very dangerous! I figured that had to be a fluke - but today the very same thing happened when using one of the remaining two. When reaching into the microwave to remove the container, the entire top of the glass broke off - while I was lifting the container! To have this extremely dangerous problem happen not once but twice is no fluke. This is a faulty product and should be pulled from sales. .

I have bought these in the past. The lids are usually the weakest part of tempered glass storage containers. My husband has a knack for tearing lids while trying to open them. The Bormioli container lids are substantial. No tears. ,they seal very well, and I love making large batches of soup, stew, lasagna, etc., and freezing meals. The glass is thick; I've never broken one container, and I've owned some Bormioli freezer/microwave products for over 10 years. Thaw frozen foods in the fridge, and reheat them in the microwave.So easy. You'll want to toss your old containers and make these your new favorites.d

This is the second set I have purchased. They are wonderful. The size of this set is right to be of practical use. They clean well in the dishwasher and you can even put the glass portion in the microwave (but not the soft plastic/rubber lids. Also, they can all be stored inside the largest container to save space.

I bought these 6 years ago from Amazon and still have them. I am missing one lid because it was close to the stove - not right next to it but fairly close - and it got warped. I have had no issues with the glass quality, they have not chipped, cracked or broken at all. The storage sizes are very generous and can be used for many different things.These are not at all leakproof, though. I like to use the larger two containers to store soup, but I have to be very very careful moving them around or taking them in or out of the fridge as if liquid sloshes at all, it will easily spill out of the container as though there was no lid on at all.

I ordered these because I’ve had a set of the round ones with white lids for years and they are my favorites out of any brands…the lids are thick & sturdy, easy on/off, and I love the larger sizes, which are hard to find in other brands such as Pyrex.If color matters to you, please note that the lids are more of a turquoise blue than the teal green depicted in the photos.I’ve used this brand of containers only for refrigerator storage, but after reading reviews I believe they might be breaking because folks aren’t following the instructions for reheating…for example, they specify to wait for the container to reach room temperature before microwaving, to never go directly from freezer to microwave, to not reheat on high power, and to not reheat foods high in fat or sugar as they can get too hot.

These containers are amazing, but one of three containers came broken. That’s why I gave 3 stars.

This is my third batch of these glass dishes. I just keep adding to my collection. High quality, clear glass. Much nicer than glassware with bluish tint made in China. Lids with this batch are a bit looser than my older versions, but they're still fine for tossing food in the fridge. The square shape permits easier storage in cabinets & in fridge compared to round or oval containers. I've even used these in the oven to bake small cobblers. I wouldn't put in the oven at a high heat, but worked well at 375.

On opening we realized the biggest piece had a chip on one lid hidden under the cover. To be replaced please...

No lo pude valorar pues llego completamente roto. Pero el empaque exterior integro. Probablemente sufrió un accidente en la aduana al revisarlo. Lo devolví. Estoy esperando uno integro.

These containers are amazing, I have used others for years.Unfortunately one was broken and another chipped and due to my location return postage would not have been covered and the cost outweighed the benefit of returning.
