1 X Microwave Onion Cooker

These are hard to find, and even here on Amazon, you can only buy one at a time. Cook time is only about a minute and 45 seconds. The onion comes out steaming hot, sweet, and buttery and gushing with goodness. With some Dawn dish cleaner, it cleans easy enough. But beware that over heating the plastic by over cooking the onion can result in degrading the onion cooker. Being made of a sturdy plastic, it will not last forever, but with proper care, and cleaning, it should last 2 or 3 years depending how frequent you use it.

Cooks amazing onions

This onion cooker makes cooking a sweet onion (like vidalia, walla walla, Peruvian, etc) very easy. Just peel the onion skin, rinse, and place in the cooker and then into the microwave. It basically steams the onion. Depending upon the size of the onion and how soft I want it, 3 to 4 minutes seems to work for me. It is also great for cooking a handful of frozen veg as a quick side item. Caution, the contents will be hot and may produce hot liquid. Be careful opening the cooker and draining any fluid. The cooker is easy to clean with soap and water or top shelf dishwasher. I bought several of these cookers for friends and family.

These are excellent. Best way to cook an onion. I've used press & seal. Always leaves my butter. Foil in the oven works but again, always finds a way to leak butter. These don't.

This is very easy to use and makes delicious Vidalia onions, I cut it down about 3/4 of the way into 6 or 8 wedges and spread the pedals open, put some butter and a little honey on it and cook it. Amazing!

Used this to make an onion and was happy with the results. However just feels cheap being plastic.

Have purchased a few of these. Easy to use-steams an onion in your microwave. I have bought these for gifts for onion-loving friends.

I’m going to be honest and say I am absolutely confused by the reviews complaining about the capacity of onion this thing can hold. It can easily hold an onion about the size of a softball. So unless your local market only stocks the apparent melon sized onions others seem to complain they can’t cook, you’re going to be perfectly fine and it makes a quick and “optionally” healthy side for any meal.
