Sesame and Dates spread (170g) Great Taste Award winner

I have bought a number of products from this company which have all been very good. However, the sesame and date one, in all honesty, really disappointed. The taste is quite bitter and, I’m sorry to say, even a little stale. and the consistency, described as smooth, was, in the jar I had, very dry and crumbly. Info on the jar does say the oil may separate, so tried stirring the product in the jar itself, then emptying into a bowl to try and get a better texture but sadly, to no avail. There is a long best before date on the jar, so can’t be anything wrong with it, but it really( in my case, others’ palates may differ) taste good at all, compared to the high standards of the other nut butters, I’ve purchased from the company.

Very nice. Needs a good stir to mix in the separating oil but once that's done it's easy to use and tastes lovely.

Use sparingly on veggie biscuits as very rich taste.

I finished one of these within 24 hrs. it tastes really nice. not too sweet, just right and runs well as well over my chickpea rice and white quinoa. I'm on a low salt diet, so this has become a new ally. hopefully it's' nut free.

There is added vanilla to this, I'm not sure that it improves it. It really needs a glug of olive oil added to loosen this up. It's very dry and difficult to spread. Crackers crack in the process of spreading! I doubt I would buy this again as it's not cheap for such a tiny jar. It's left me somewhat disappointed.

Disappointing, I ordered the large size. Even when mixed properly (top was all oil) this was not spreadable, way too runny and it just tastes like sesame seeds, no discernable date taste. Nothing special. Why the Great Taste Award?? Would not buy again. I was going to buy Greek halva as a treat, and next time I will. This "spread" sounds better than it tastes.

The first time I ordered this one, I never received it. Something happened during transport and it was returned to seller….. now I ordered for the second time. Well packed! Not well sealed, but not leaking. Tasted it: well……….. it tastes really awful!!!! I even looked at the exp date: but that was ok. (Till ‘29) So….. not my kind of taste….. maybe there are other people who like it. I threw it away. Shame, cause it’s ratter expensive…….
