We were having a heck of a time with our previous compasses. We either could not get the pencils to stay in or the angle we set it to would slide while drawing. This compass has turned out to be great. The pencil and angle setting stay in place and it feels sturdy. We were concerned that we would miss having measurements for the compass settings - but once we started using it, we didn't miss that at all. We bought the set thinking the compass was all we would need - but then found that we actually also love the small, clear compass and protractor. A great set overall!

Very useful tools to learn Geometry. I used to use these a lot when I studied in Asia, so I bought this set for my nephew to learn Geometry. He seems to be more interested in the subject after I bought him these. The set is pretty complete with a ruler, a protractor, 2 types of triangle rulers, a compass, a pencil, a sharpener and an eraser.

My granddaughter needed a set for school and this was her choice. She said it worked out good for what she needed.

Nice set. Lost a star because we could not figure out how to open the case with its unusual design. It's confusing for a child (and their grandma).
