These are excellent
When I finally got serious about tunisian crochet I wanted to invest in a good quality set of crochet hooks. These are by far my favorite. I don't know why some reviews are saying these are 'sticky'. I find that mine work like a dream, super smooth and really nice to crochet with. I have the Dreamz hooks that are wonderful (and wooden), but I love these more.

Outstanding hooks for Tunisian crochet
I believe these hooks are no longer in production. For whatever reason they are getting harder to find. These lovely folk also packed with care. My only problem - deciding if ordering a 2nd backup set would be silly.

Very sticky, could not use
Should have ordered premier wood or knit pro wood tunisian first. As a tulip etimo gal in my regular crochet hooks I'm used to a very smooth glide. These squeaked and held on to the smoothest of yarns. Would return if they were not shipped from overseas. If you are interested in trying tunisian and are used to an aluminum hook, try knit pro symphonie or ginger. They are way smoother than I would guess wood could be.

Smooth and light
Having run out of patience in trying to use an ordinary crochet hook for tunisian crochet I decided to get a few sizes of these, knowing I can use them with the purple Knit Pro cables and end caps that I have already (and use for knitting with the interchangable system). The hook itself is made of translucent pink plastic, with a metal end which smoothly reduces in size to screw into either a standard Knit Pro purple or black cable. The size in mm is printed on the plastic towards the metal end in white, and while it has not rubbed off *yet*, I anticipate that it will do quite quickly. The hook is smooth with no joins that will catch on or snag the yarn, and the larger sizes particularly are quite blunt ended - not a problem but something to keep in mind when planning projects. I use Clover Amour hooks usually, but have found that this hook is surprisingly comfortable and easy to manipulate, and doesn't leave my hand aching like this simple style of hooks usually do (especially bearing in mind the size) - perhaps because it's so lightweight? Pleased with my choice as this is comfortable to use and will last (I imagine I will only need to replace if I lose it).Pros - smooth and very lightweight hook. Fit with standard Knit Pro interchangable system. Can be used as an ordinary crochet hook if you don't attach a cable.Cons - size is printed on and will rub off over time.A suggested improvement is to make end caps that screw directly onto the end of the hook so they can be used as 15cm (ish) tunisian hooks without the stitches sliding off the end - otherwise even the shortest cable extends this to 35cm (ish) and the cable flicks and flaps around as you use it.One small grumble about the range as a whole - although the hooks are a number of different colours, some very similar sizes (6.5mm and 7mm for example) are the same colour as each other. If they have to double up on the colours it would have made more sense to have the 6.5mm the same colour as the 12mm (for example) so that it's easier to keep track of which you're looking for - especially once the sizes have rubbed off...Four out of five stars because the size is printed on the hook, instead of being engraved into the plastic.

A bit sticky but there isn't much choice for interchangable crochet hooks
Yes, they don't slide very smoothly. If only they would make a Tunisian interchangable set in the new coloured Zing range which is vastly superior to other KnitPro needles because the size marking doesn't rub off and they feel more classy. Oh, and I wish the cords were thinner and swivelled like Hiya Hiyas! But it seems that if you want each needle to be a different colour and attachable to a cord, this is the best the market has to offer.Update: I have since bought Addi Click’s interchangeable set - rather limited set of sizes but, just like these, rather nice for anyone who likes to be able to roll the hook between finger and thumb as there is no flattened section. My favourite of all was the set of Symphonie wooden hooks in different colours (though I suspect it may have reverted to all the hooks being the same colour recently). Again, no flattened section in the middle but Symphonie hooks can be a bit fragile. Don’t sit on them, obviously (I did); but also treat the hook tip with great care as it will snap off if you apply too much pressure - especially at smaller sizes.

The bold and the beautiful
Bold colours, usefully short hook length and sturdy extension cables. They’re pointed at the hook tip, which is a must for getting in between stitches and into the back bumps effortlessly. Much easier to work with than wooden and bamboo hooks I’ve had in the past, which tend to have blunted hook tips. What’s not to like.
