The Right Tool for the Job!
This turns out to be exactly what I needed to get rid of old garden hoses around the property! I started with one 50-foot length and cut it into pieces that were about a foot and a half long. The blade is still sharp enough to cut some more. If a person wanted to, they could get the same results with a razor blade or box cutter, but this tool made the work go a whole lot quicker! Not only that, but it is a lot safer to use this tool than it would be to use a box cutter.

Donโt listen to the diyโers who donโt understand tools. These things rock.
Iโm on my 3rd or 4th pair, not because they are bad, because I lost them doing road service. I read that some people have an issue with them cutting โsmall branchesโ and metal wire. If youโre bending them, you are misusing them, if you are chipping the blades then they are doing the job but of course youโre chipping the blade cutting wire, itโs a razor blade!. I have never bent a pair but I have chipped the blades. I cut a lot of automotive wire and cables. 1/0 wire and down, 7 way trailer cable, airbrake tubing (the best), radiator hoses. I have used them for pruning trees but not small branches, thatโs why I have pruners. As amazing as these are they have limitations. Iโve had a couple of different brands from blue point to this brand (Iโm buying another pair today) and they seem to be all the same with a different branded handle and anvil. I have used these with the same blade for a long time. Even with some chips in the blade they cut clean with ease. Do not hesitate to buy these and if you abuse them to the point you are bending them donโt blame the tool. Buy the right tool for the job. These things do work, I am a craftsman who does many things, mechanics, welding, fabrication, interior work, wood working, landscaping automotive and home electrical, fiberglass workโฆ. I always seem to find a use for these without issue. Would I cut a 1โ or bigger branch? No. But they will cut through a 1โ branch. Will it cut a hundred โsmall branches? Probably not. Buy pruners. Even with the blade chipped up it still cuts nylon airbrake tubing clean and square for those quick connect fittings.Donโt listen to a light duty DIYโer who doesnโt understand tools. I have 10โs of thousands of dollars in tools and equipment. These are the real deal.

Cuts rope nice, but a problem
I bought this for cutting rope. It does do a good job, but one thing I noticed is that the blade does not come down on the anvil evenly. Even with trying to readjust the blade, I am unable to fix this. It will still be useful to have, but cutter is not as good as it could be.

Great tool!
Love this tool! Replaced an older Craftsman tool that has gone missing. Feels very sturdy, replacement blades right in the handle. Completely satisfied but wish the price was a little better.

Cuts through leather, rubber and plastic.
Purchased at the suggestion of an internet tool restorer, so far every tool he suggests is a 5 star. This tool will easily cut through leather, rubber or molded plastic. A must if you plan to install garage door weatherstripping.

Not made well as they used to be!
I have bought this item, years ago and then misplaced this very wonderful tool. The replacement is seriously misaligned so that the tool does not cut anything until the edge to be cut is pushed down into position! It can not be fixed or realigned!!!Very disappointing!
