 I'm using the 6" to automate a TV mount that swings down from my ceiling. It's a bit noisy at times and quieter at others (all [randomly] during the same push pull cycle). I imagine I'll be able to reduce some noise by packing soft cushion foam around it. So far it's working good and able to hold the weight. I'll surly update this if I ever have any issues.ALSO IMPORTANT: If you're careful and have a bit of electrical/soldering knowledge you can easily remove the long tube and adjust the position of the limit switches. I slightly shortened the maximum stroke length on my actuator with great success!

Mine worked great. It does not make hardly any noise. It handles 4 - 100 watt panels with ease on my solar tracker.UPDATE: The system quit, including the Actuator and the controller that operates the Actuator. The seller said they would send me another one so I will have to wait and see.

This has powered my duck’s coop door for a year now with no issues. Survived New England summer and winter without a hiccup. Only time I’ve ever had to pay it any attention is when it pulled it’s mounting screws out of the door. It’s not quiet or fast, but it’s sturdy and strong. Highly recommended. The ducks love to take turns riding the door down as it opens, sometimes launching themselves off of it for some very brief airtime.

Worked for a few weeks and then bent for whatever reason. The only thing I can think of is that my turkey (maybe 40lbs at the time) jumped up onto the open door, and caused the bend. The actuator was pushing straight down, going up over a wall and pulling the door up at an angle (think upside down U of cable), with nothing to catch on anywhere remotely close, everything moved freely.Was lifting a 15 lb door, and that's being very, VERY generous on it's weight.Loved it while it was working, but I'm not about to replace it given my experience.

So this is a great product it does have a tremendous push and pull, easy to use the motor will stop when the device fully extends and retracts. I you want a product that is pretty straight forward this is for you, very sturdy build, do note the push/pull speed is not super fast as you would expect.

I am using the Actuator for my chicken coop. It will open and close an automatic door to the coop. I went with the 18" because I also have ducks. It has been great. Predators won't be getting into this coop.

I bought this to use for opening and closing the step cover in my motorhome. It is well made and it came quickly. Excellent product and it works exactly as I hoped. I highly recommend getting this if you need a linear actuator. I love the one I bought. Just make sure you get the right length and also buy the relay, switch, and wiring for it.
