Do those sizes(measurements) show person’s height? Wonder size for 12yrs & 8yrs old!

Don’t buy this one at all. My son does karate and he wouldn’t even consider wearing this. The waist in the bottoms are ridiculously tight and the top is too big.

What size for a 9 years old ?

Mine wears a size 2, but they are all different.
