I loved this food thermos. It keeps food hot for several hours, making it perfect for soups, stews, or rice to take to work, school, or on the go. It also keeps food cold very well. Wint certainty l can say that it is very very good l han already given my husband one and he took the hot food and for lunchtime it was just as hot.

I’ve had this THERMOS Stainless King for over a year and a half, and it’s been an excellent investment, especially during winter. The food stays hot for many hours, which means no more eating cold meals or having to reheat them. The capacity is deceiving—in the best way. At first glance, it looks small, but when you serve it on a plate, you realize the portion is quite generous. Still, I wish the design were a bit taller so that whole pieces, like a chicken drumstick or a rib, could fit without having to cut them. The stainless steel is top quality, the lid seals perfectly, and there are zero leaks. It’s easy to clean and stands up well to daily use. Overall, it’s a well-designed, practical, and reliable product. I would definitely buy another one if they released a larger size.

This thermos really works well for hot or cold. It really is Handy to have because you can put two items in for your lunch and keep it either hot or cold. Or you can just fill it full of hot or cold liquid.

Keeps food warm

I just upgraded my rating on this product because I found another use for it that takes it from being (for me) a great product, to an AWESOME product. I got this to use as a thermal cooker for emergency meals, and for me it performs very well for that task, even though it is not advertised for this purpose. And it's a good size for 2 servings. I just wasn't sure I found any value in the plastic jars that came with it. Thinking I would rather have just gotten the insulated steel jug without the jars and maybe saved a few bucks, I took off one star from my rating. The jars are made of plastic that could become deformed with too much heat, so I didn't think I'd have much use for them. THEN I made a decision to start making my own yogurt to reduce the amount of plastic trash I throw out that can't be recycled. This thermos jug works beautifully as a yogurt incubator, and the jars can not only be used for incubation — the temperature is no higher than 115 F, which is well within the temperature range they can withstand — they also make great storage jars in the fridge. BONUS: If you don't want to use plastic to incubate your yogurt, the steel jug is just the right size to fit a quart-sized mason jar. The only thing is, the inner part of the lid won't fit, so when you use a mason jar, you can just stuff a clean kitchen wash cloth into the jug on top of the jar to insulate the lid, then put the lid on. After 12 hours sitting on the countertop, the contents have lost some warmth, of course, but are still warm enough to keep incubation going. I really liked this thermos jug before, but now I LOVE it.

I’ve had this Thermos for about 11 months now and have been very impressed with its performance. I work 12 hour work days year round, in the winter here it gets down into the -30’s Celsius for extended periods, and occasionally into the -40’s with the wind chill, so I like to have a hot meal at lunch. I will load this fresh off the stove/out over the oven/crock pot at supper in the evening and then put the insulated plug in and lid on, and at lunch the following day I will open it up and the contents will still be steaming hot! In addition to work I’ve now used this for ice fishing, hunting, and on a few all day winter hikes. I absolutely love this thing and am going to be purchasing one for my father-in-law for his lunches as well this year as it’s now beginning to get cold again. The quality and performance of this Thermos is top notch and a must have for anyone who spends a lot of time in the cold and appreciates a hot meal without the need for a fire or microwave!
