Buy this if u follow Justin on Justinguitar .even otherwise buy this if u are a beginner guitar player and then use Justin's video lessons. Better than a lot of songbooks. Though quite a few of the songs are dated.

I bought this book after going through the course at his websiteIt has almost 100 songs in it of different genre which is good and easy to learnBefore buying go through his course once and listen to all the songs and try to play themThis book will help you in understanding how to put songs on paper

A great songbook for any beginner guitarist with easy to learn songs and clear instructions. The book compliments the lessons and tutorial videos of Justinguitar.com available on the site as well as on YouTube

I have been 'playing' guitar for years on and off and I play the same things over and over again with mixed results.The book is the perfect size at A5 and it is spiral bound so very easy to view, unlike my other guitar tab books that constantly need a good bend to keep in place.There are plenty of great songs to learn and any strumming pattern or song I am not sure about is on his YouTube channel, so a great purchase.The songs can be played with simple chords or variations with finger picking or more complex strumming so wonderful for beginners and more intermediate players.One of the guitar books that will take pride of place unlike the others stacked up gathering dust.My favourites are Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen, Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton, Fast Car by Tracey Chapman, Vincent by Don McLean, The Drugs Don't Work by The Verve and loads of the others.Well chuffed. Thank you.

Justin is the man, been following him on you tube for a while now and so decided to buy his beginners songbook vol 1, straight away with the help of his you tube tutorials my guitar playing and practice has improved, I am once again looking forward to my practice everyday, the books are well set out with notes and chord diagrams for you to progress, the songs are progressive and you gradually improve as you go along, I also like the fact that this version of the book comes spiral bound great for laying open on your music stand, he only puts the chords into the first verse and chorus, after that you are on your own, some find this harder but you do get used to it, I've been really impressed with volume 1 that I have ordered volume 2 as well, well worth the cost and for less than the price of one private lesson, great value

I absolutely love Justin and his guitar! His website is brilliant and has me playing songs when I had zero previous experience.He makes learning guitar fun and as simple as it can be with his various exercises, video lessons and books. This book is an awesome accompliment to his free online guitar lessons but also a great and handy book just on its own.There are several stages of songs which vary in difficulty and the number of chords used. There are lots of classic and modern songs with the chords written alongside the lyrics for easy playing and singing if you are that way inclined! There are also introductions at the beginning of each chapter as to the different chords and some instructions next to each song on how you can improve, I.e via strumming patterns etc.The book gives you good beginners knowledge, gives you the ability to perform songs confidently whilst also giving you the chance to go back to each song when you are more experienced to make it sound even better.Can not recommend enough

Brilliant beginners songbook. Well structured to fit in with Justins beginner course. I only like a couple of the songs in each stage, sometimes just 1,(9 stages with 10 songs each plus 10 extra songs at the end) but even that makes it really worthwhile buying because the way the songs are presented with the chord diagrams in the book and strumming patterns etc make it easy for you to have something to practice at each level. And practicing actual songs is what all your learning is all about and what really brings you on and makes all the effort you put in worthwhile. This book will definitely help me learn much better than other songbooks just because of the structure etc which i havent seen in other songbooks.

I started learning guitar using JustinGuitar.com and quickly impressed friends and family. I stopped taking guitar lessons, and felt the need to purchase this book considering how useful I'd found his website & youtube videos. Purchasing this book meant I could bring my guitar to camping trips/other social gatherings and play a variety of songs.I've been playing the guitar less than a year and still thoroughly enjoy it. I'm moving on to more fingerstyle songs now however I would recommend this book to all beginner guitarists.I have purchase other guitar books 'For Beginners' which I would need to revisit a guitar teacher to really make use of them. There is no indication of strumming patterns and it's difficult to get a feel for a song from a piece of paper. This book along with his website and videos really make learning the guitar fun and easy as possible.
