I really like this top, it spins forever. It's really well weighted and the knurling on the stem is excellent, you can tell knurling is machined and not pressed in, giving you an excellent grip. It's honestly just something fun to mess around with.I didnt want to buy one of those concave lenses for tops, so I checked the bottom of all my drinking glasses and one has a concave bottom, close enough I figure. If you don't have a drinking glass with a concave bottom check your coffee cups as most have a ridge or some kind of concave bottom if you flip them over, and ceramic doesn't provide too much friction.A word of caution to users, and not a knock on the product in any way: after using it 2 or 3 times I dropped it several feet onto concrete and dented the tip where it spins so now it doesn't spin as long and makes a funny noise when it does, but even with this damage it still spins longer than any top i've ever had.This is not a knock on the product as this will happen with any metal top if you drop it on something harder than steel like concrete, which is what I did. On the bright side they are reasonable priced so I am going to order another one and compare the gimped top to the new one and see the time difference.Update: I realized that since these tops are steel I can fairly easily refinish the dings out of them with 1000 grit sandpaper if I drop them, so I was able to refinish the one with a ding right next to the tip and its spins like new. It takes a bit of patience but you don't have to buy a new top if you screw yours up like I did, and its kind of interesting sanding a bit, then testing, then back to sanding until it is perfect.If you buy a top that has a finish on it it will probably ruin the finish doing this, so I recommend the raw steel finish if you are clumsy like I am.

Absolutely awesome little top! I play with it all day when I'm working at my desk. It keeps my hands busy while I'm working or else I pull at my beard all day, not good. Great material, nice grip and the Keychain hole is brilliant. I don't want to lose it, I literally just bought three more for my family members

My first impression was it was very small but once I unboxed it and actually started to play with it I was very impressed is heavy and if you get a good spin on it it will spin for 5 minutes. On average a little over two minutes. Gave this to my 12 year old son and he had been playing with it for 2 days and has yet to break it or get bored. In my opinion it was a very good purchase.

This is a well-made little device, machined cleanly and well-balanced. It's rather small, but has a nice heft to it. And, it spins for a good, long time.I bought it on a whim, but don't regret having done so. It's fun for a while, but the novelty wears off a bit faster when you're in your 50s and not a little kid.4 STARS

These quality tops are comparatively inexpensive yet have excellent spin times. My longest spin was just over 5 minutes! I'm giving mine to my Grandsons and buying a couple more for myself. There are tops that spin longer (I've heard} but they can cost 5 times what I paid for these. If you'r thinking of buying a "quality" spinning top this one is a great "starter" or gift, without a big investment. And the seller is quick to ship and answer to any issues. Thumbs up!

If you look at the pix on the reviews here you can see the top is not much bigger than a quarter, however, it is a lot of fun. My wife thought I was silly to spend over $11.00 on this but my 3 kids at home over Christmas (27, 23 and 16) are having a lot of fun with it and, surprisingly, even my wife. :-) We spin it on our granite countertops. Family records went from 3:33, 4:45, 5:49 to 6:15. It is surprisingly addictive seeing if you beat your own record or a family record. The toughest part is getting a good spin going because the top is a little on the small side; I wish they made one slightly larger. Anyway, I've now got several more of these in my Amazon cart so I can give them to my children to fidget with as a distraction from college and military training studies after their Christmas break is over. Buy one!, you won't be disappointed!

This spins well and is just as fun as you expect.I recommend starting with something like this before diving into the more expensive tops, because the novelty wears off after a few days. That's a comment on all tops, not a ding on this one.

Thought this would be average size but it is miniature compared to others purchased. Solid, nice finish, good balance, just very small!

Over Prices, did a bunch of test, consistently get 3min and 30 sec with range from 2 min 50 sec to 3 min 55 sec. I have cheap wood 1$ one going for average 2 min, and a few cheap (3$) metal going for average 5 min. I bought this one because for the 7 min record and others saying they consistently went over 5 minutes and I can't reach the 4 min wall.
