TP-LINK TL-R480T+ Load Balance Broadband Business Router with Up to 4 WAN Ports, PPPoE Server, Advanced QoS and Strong Firewall

It's a good product, worth the price. Speed is 10/ 100 Mbps. Load balancing and Backup works good. I hv 2 wan connections. Hv tested the backup feature and works perfectly. Upon restoration of primary wan, changes back from secondary to primary wan.

Worth The Price Just Lacking gigabit support ... As Multiple Connections Can Raise Above 10MBps-100Mbps ...

We have configured 3 Internet Connections into this router (ACT, Jio AirFiber and Airtel DSL) and the router is working flawlessly to split the traffic among the connections as per the defined splitting ratio we have set. The router cannot accurately determine when a particularly ISP goes down (mostly because the Router is connected to the Routers provided by individual ISPs and the ISPs have denied pass-through configuration, but by and large it works. The CPU seems under-powered and torrenting by even a single computer makes the CPU usage jump to 100% and service very slow for other users on the network. The router also does not remember the traffic statistics and resets to zero after every restart (for example after power failure). Its easy to configure DHCP settings and DHCP assignments, but I did not see an option to re-direct domains. I may have to set-up a PI-HOLE server using a Raspberry Pi for that.

Great product. Regret we did not go for 1gbps version.

Ease of use and making the initial connection was a zippy process as it gets automatically detected by using the given options in the software which is encrypted and I would recommend to use a STRONG PASSWORD. PS:-If any problem in connections take help from the IT/Network Expert and this device will never let you down, and the consumption of energy is low too so light on your pocket.

Load balancer slowed down slowed down my internet speed by 80%.. input network speed is 200 mbps and load balancer output is 2 mbps.. sometime down to 1.. and more than 40 phone calls and 5 emails .. to support team ..., they dont even bother to understand the issue.. and they keep hanging phone.. as if they dont care... in the quest to attempt seeking support from TP Linnk to see if we can fix ... I lost return window.. and all the configurartion .. not helped...wasted money and time.. never buy any TPLink products

This has a some problem. while using two isp connection simultaneously. Only the the high speed isp connection is in high priority.

Value for money. Speed is consistent and setup is super easy

I now have three separate Internet lines to from sky and one from talk talk connected into this route. For this to work I took the standard sky and talk talk routers that they supplied and connect them to the respective phone lines by their filters. Each of these routers the two sky and the talk talk required their subnet IP addresses changed to be unique. Thus there were typically 192.16 8.4.1 I simply connected a standard patch cable from the LAN of each of the routers into one of the ports of the load balancer. In configuring the load balancer one had to change each of the LAN points to be a WAN point. As well as give the load balancer its own subnet IP address which in fact I left as default. I then connected its WAN port to my main network switch and from there of course all the computers are attached. The key point for me was having to discover that the routers of sky and talk talk required their IP addresses and subnet addresses to be changed to be different to my load balancer. Once this works traffic was being rooted through the three separate broadband lines that I had. While this did not increase the speed on speed test because of course they are not bonded . An analogy here is that one adds extra two lanes to a motorway which allows more cars to travel along but still they are limited to 70 miles an hour. The fail safe certainly works if I am plug one of the broadband connectors then I still have Internet connection. I do not think there is a way that one can increase the speed from a single computer by bonding the broadband connections in the UK. Nevertheless the product worked out of the box and had it working in about 30 minutes. A very cheap and practical solution.

Adquiri para fazer failover entre dois links de internet, para evitar quedas durante o trabalho remoto.. Mas ele ainda consegue balancear bem entre os dois links a ponto de não sobrecarregar nenhum. Único contra, no caso deste anuncio, é que parecia ser da versão R480 pela foto, mas na verdade foi entregue o R470. Mas para a minha necessidade está suficiente e o preço também foi compatível. Bom Custo beneficio, considerando que é possível fazer o balanceamento manual, mas requer muitos conhecimentos avançados de rede e sistemas operacionais, mas com esse aparelho é praticamente "plugar e usar". Recomendo o produto (TL-R470T+)

Product is working as advertised which is an entry level load balancer router which support multiple WAN. Solid performance and able to reach the advertised NAT throughput constantly.

Our rural location has lots of mountains, tall trees, wild berries and wildlife, but no broadband Internet service. We started with an AT&T/Netgear 4G LTE hotspot, but that had data limits which we exceeded. We added satellite-based Internet services HughesNet and Viasat - but they both have data limits and they have extreme upstream/upload latency issues relative to our real-time data needs. Finally, we added a local DSL service that is limited to about 500kBPS. That's four ISP sources and none of them performed well for us... The TP-Link Load Balance Broadband Router was the last option remaining for improving our total data capacity (by aggregation across all four provider services) and improving our real-time data performance which includes significant upstream transmission where low latency matters. Installation and setup were relatively easy; no surprises. I'm a 100% self-taught IT guy, with no professional training. The hardest part was figuring out that there were IP address conflicts between the four ISP modems on the WAN side; once I resolved the IP address conflicts between the two satellite services, the 4G LTE hotspot and the DSL modem, the system worked and the results were a great improvement for us overall. Long story short: Without the TP-Link Load Balance Broadband Router, we would not have been able to fully function in spite of having FOUR "high speed Internet" service providers. With this device, which distributes the traffic intelligently across all four ISP's, latency is reduced and aggregate data capacity is achieved, which helps us avoid data limit throttles, additional fees, or even service suspension imposed by the ISP's for data usage. We appreciate the product and the people behind it; glad we decided to buy it.
