Best on the market
First one I bought, Boxer Truck Bed Cargo Unloader - 1-Ton Capacity, had plastic bracelets and didn’t last long, second one listed as metal, loadhandler Number LH2200M showed up , plastic , returned… This unloaded is bullet proof, no comparison to the others, more money but well worth it.

The best accessory for your truck
Assuming you're not just some yuppie who bought a pickup because you think it makes you manly... This is for the people who own trucks and use them. I've had two load handlers in my life, One on a 3/4 ton ram and the other on a 1 ton F-150 super duty both with full size beds. Assuming you own a truck for the right reasons, you've spent your time shoveling mulch out of the bed or God forbid gravel. Even firewood is difficult, a pickup truck gives you the ability to move material from point a to b but what about once you get to your location? This thing is so simple but incredibly effective. Go to their website and watch the videos, it works exactly the way they show. You could look at the pictures on the box and put this item together, but the first time you use it you will be completely amazed. I just picked up 4,000 lb of 411 limestone. They say it can unload a full bed in under 1 minute, I would say it was under 45 seconds. What's nice is you can control the amount of material and then move the vehicle and then lay down more material. I can't say enough good things about this product, it's very heavy, extremely well built, and will last you longer than the truck well. Your purchase will move from truck to truck without it out. The most fun is firewood, it empties an entire bed of stacked firewood in a few seconds. Give this thing a shot, I think you'll be glad that you did.

If you know how to use this product, it’s the best product in the world
OK harbor freight carries a $44 version that is OK for older trucks with a smaller depth of a tailgate if your tailgate is thicker than 3.78 inches you will need this product. The downside is you go up to $200+! So now think if 200 bucks is worth saving your back, saving the cleaning of your truck, speed and efficiency and the time that you spend at the dumps and 200 bucks is cheap compared to hydraulic options or really really nice versions of this unloader. If you are a working stiff and 200 bucks is a lot for a product that you’re only going to use a few times a year, This still is your product because now you’re gonna figure out how to use it even more if you can do things in 10 times the speed you start to get creative. I went to the dumps and spent more time showing people what it could do how efficient it was how simple it was how quick it was and the next thing you know it, people were grabbing my number to see if they could borrow it. Some people on YouTube give us a bad name because they have the wrong approach. If you have a truck bed with rubber liner, you are going to have to put down a sheet of tarp and or a piece of plywood. Also, do your best to keep everything centered and you won’t have any problems. It takes a little practice getting used to once you understand how it works, you’re gonna love it. It’s worth 200 bucks. If you have an older truck, the $44 version may be easier on your pocketbook, but it does not move as easy and smoothly as his product, but it still works in theory. The reason why I gave it four stars is because it does not fit the top of my tailgate totally perfect. It looks unstable, but it’s only in appearance..

best thing ever
I'm not sure what others are doing with their loadhandler, or if they are reviewing the cheaper models, but I just used the LH3000 paired with the Double Mat for the first time to unload 1600 pounds of bricks. Granted it's supposed to handle nearly twice that amount of weight, but it was so incredibly easy, pretty much just like the videos. My truck is only rated for a payload of about 2600 pounds anyway, and it was so easy to crank that I have to believe another 1000 pounds of bricks would have been no trouble at all. I should be able to test out that theory since I am taking down an old chimney and have a lot of bricks left to dump. I'm going to load it up to the gills and see how it performs on the next run. I will update my review after that. Maybe it's the combination of having the heavy duty model plus the double mat that made it so easy. I also love the double mat, because my truck has a factory bedliner, and it's often way too slippery for carrying things like furniture or other large objects; they slide around dangerously, so I have to tie everything down. Now with the double mat, I can use the high friction side when I'm carrying things like that and they don't move around at all. Even if it can't handle much more than what i just dumped, it was so worth it to me. With all the stuff I have dumped out of my truck over the years, I wish I had bought one of these a long time ago.

Load Handler Install and Use
I was a little leery on ordering for a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 Shortbed Pickup because it has the bowed out tailgate and I wasn't sure about the thickness measurement. Not to worry. The bracket legs are attached to the bearing main plate by one bolt, each side, through the bracket leg in a long slot to allow for tailgate thickness differences. It also allows the outer bracket to swivel to match the curve of the tailgate so it lies flat on the outside curve. The outer bracket leg is also angled (not 90 deg.) to allow for the slope of the top of the tailgate. Installation was easy following the directions. The only not included items were 2 1''x1" wood blocks to hold the brackets off the tailgate cap during installation. It would be helpful to have a second person available to provide tension on the drag sheet when initially rolling it on the roller and assist holding the assembly during final fitting. Once assembled and fit, one person can pop it off and on again. The only difficult chore is threading the hold down straps through the tailgate- bed joint. Patience rules. In use when going to dump, it is best to attach the bumper tie downs to the hold down straps while the tailgate is up and then lower the tailgate, hook the bottom of the bumper, and snug them up. That way you don't have to crawl under the lowered tailgate. My second use involved just shy of 900lbs of dirt and the cranking with one hand while the other was hanging on to the top rear edge of the tailgate and the going was somewhat stiff, yet very doable. All in all, The unit worked as advertised and is a lot less expensive than a dump bed trailer. Just remember to keep everything clean (a whisk broom comes in handy at the dump site). It is nice to have a Double Mat. They clean up very easily and elevate the drag surface so excess material stays off to the side.

Pleasant Surprise, 2011 Ram 1500...Works Great,Few Suggestions
Let me start off by saying i purchased the harbor freight version of this first, that does not fit the oddly shaped tailgates on the Ram 1500: returned that and went with this..I am glad it didn't fit this load handler although more money is constructed far superior to the junk I returned, its fully adjustable and fits great as well..Its constructed of steel instead of plastic and has bearings instead of makeshift plastic bushings..So as far as its construction i give it an A+,I did read about spray liners being a problem with heavier loads as well as product making its way off the drag sheet,so what I did was purchased a piece of 3/8 duraply(very smooth and handles elements well)and laid it into the bed(that takes care of the spray liner problem)next before pulling the drag sheet out I lay a blue tarp down,I like to come up and over the bedsides, next I lay the drag sheet down on top of tarp.I now load my product, mulch, firewood soil etc etc...I cover the product with the excess tarp that was laying over the bed sides....Ok time to unload,a dream..open up tarp, install crank handle, crank out product, whatever falls off drag sheet is caught in tarp, not a lot but some, when done cranking the drag sheet you just pull out the tarp removing whatever remaining product or debris....now my truck is a 1500 I am not crowning the bed with gravel or soil but good loads non the less..It works great and you will be glad you got it,not to mention the time you save,as well as your back...Just one more suggestion, when your done using it take it off the truck dont leave it on:what happens is dust and debri gets under the foam on the steel mounts and will scratch your tailgate in short order....Hope this Helps, good luck

Great idea BUT light loads only
Good for light loads like mulch or sawdust but rocks like the ad shows or top soil FORGET IT The rod bent up against the tailgate of my Silverado and wouldn’t budge I had to hand shovel half the load of top soil before it would move. I’m being generous with one star.

Moved over 6000lbs of gravel so far
I went back and forth between which one to buy and if I should buy the version from harbor freight for much less. I have a F250 7' bed and was worried the other one wouldn't be strong enough or big enough so spent the extra on this one. So far I'm not disappointed. I've carried 3 loads of 1 yard of 3/4" gravel for a project. Starting the pile to move at first unloading was a little "hard" but once the material starts rolling off the tailgate it goes smooth. It was easy to install. To use when you get to where you are loading unroll the material and put a few feet of it between the cabin and the bed and then push it down into the bed at the front and the back. When unloading I recommend taping over any holes at your tailgate (especially where the latches are) with something like a piece of duct tape until that load is unloaded and then remove to keep debris from going in and preventing you from closing your tailgate. I have a painted stock bed and it slid the 2000+ material across it fine. a couple more loads and it will have paid for itself saving in delivery fees for material.
