Story of Hawaii Coloring Book (Dover American History Coloring Books)

This is a beautifully done coloring book that also gives great insight into Hawaiian culture and history. Anyone who has ever experienced a Dover coloring book will know what to expect - if you have not, I encourage you to try one out! They are wonderful for children, but also for adults, too! Coloring is very relaxing, and what better way to prepare for a trip to the islands than to color gorgeous drawings of hula girls, Hawaiian foods and plants, beautiful flowers, and historical figures. Great book, I highly recommend it!

We love Dover coloring books for their detail and accuracy!

I am so happy with this simple purchase. My 5th grader had to do a state report. I looked for book after book that might hold his attention. We even downloaded a few short documentaries I thought he might find amusing. This coloring book covered everything required. it is so informative yet simple. It's concise and visual stimulating with geology, geography, sociology, history, culture and (art 🤡). I learned so much. Plus I got to color while my son did his report.

This is great for anyone planning a visit to Hawaii. Informative and fun, excellent paper for colored pencils; images on both sides, each page. Authentic Hawaiian people, costumes and artifacts. A nice balance of people, animals and plants.

Story of Hawaii is well-written, but not the perfect material for young keiki (children.) The story is an accurate description of Hawaiian history, including first contact by Captain Cook, the influence of American missionaries, and the overthrow of the monarchy. It is not highly political but includes the unpleasant facts.It has rather intricate drawings, which are difficult for youngsters to color. This would be a great book for an adult or older child who enjoys using artistʻs pencils.

With trip to Hawaii i wanted to prepare my child to respect culture and land. We both learned some things here and enjoyed coloring.

this colouring book is perfect to colour in if you like little details which I love, as well as deliver background knowledge behind the Hawaiian culture beautifully. Perfect for children and adults too. I recommended this to my all friends and family!
