Our California

I bought this for my 7 yr. old, to give as a gift, to her 4yr.old, cousin, as they were meeting for the first time. I really love this book, the pictures are colorful, the artwork is beautiful and the pages change directions. Okay it's missing many of California's wonderful sites but you can't get everything in a kids book and hold their attention but it does go from state to state. I think this will be a good show and tell book for any young child visiting CA. or out-of state guest, forget that tee-shirt, this will last longer! I may buy another just for us!

This book offers such a gorgeous quick trip through all the regions of California. We used this in our homeschool study for California right after moving to the state. The artwork is absolutely stunning and that is reason enough to buy it, but the writing is also beautifully done, easy and quick to read but offers a good amount of information for kids.

I bought this for my tutoring student who is learning to read English so she can understand more about thestate where we both live.

This is a fantastic book. The illustrations are perfect for the text and for representing the state of California well. The book is written in poetry and the author does a very good job. In the back, the author gives additional information on the history of each place highlighted in the book.

This is a beautifully illustrated book and we are ordering one for every teacher in our school. The California Teachers' Association is using this book as a springboard for "Read Across America" celebration in March.

Great book to introduce CA to a child not knowing much about the state. I bought it for an adultwho wants to visit CA from Africa.

Great children's book traveling up the state of California! Beautiful colorful illustrations. Rhyming. Tells of cities and places to see! Love this book!

The product was covered in a sticky substance and smelled like sunscreen. I had to clean the book cover and some of the pages.
