It. Just. Works.
It just works as long as you’re using your included Nintendo power supply to make it compatible with the switch 1 or switch 2. This is an amazing and very portable cable you can bring with you when traveling or going to a friends or family house to be able to still play on the tv. I wish I found it sooner!
