Just right
The box had everything I needed to tuck away some unused electric wires. Easy to install.

Great for low voltage wire junction.
This plastic junction box it’s just what I needed for wiring, security cameras. It’s easy enough to seal up to keep it waterproof with the wires enter through the rubber eye plugs. It’s roomy enough for what I needed. I’m sorry I was pleased.

Box of Possibilities
I picked up this IP65 electrical junction box for a weekend project that started, as many do, with me thinking, “This should only take an hour.” It didn’t—but the box ended up being one of the few parts of the project that didn’t fight back. What impressed me first was the sturdiness. The ABS plastic feels solid in a way that reassures you it can handle being tucked outdoors or in a dusty garage without complaint. I used it to house a small sensor setup for my backyard lights, and while I was crouched in the dirt trying to route wires, I had a flashback to helping my dad with his old workshop projects. Back then, we used metal boxes that rusted if you so much as breathed near them. This one, by contrast, felt like a small upgrade to my younger self’s frustrations. The gasket seal is surprisingly reliable. After a light rain, I checked inside expecting at least a hint of moisture, but everything was bone dry. That alone made me feel like I’d chosen well. The mounting points inside are also thoughtfully placed—no awkward angles, no improvising with zip ties, just straightforward installation. My only minor gripe is that the screws are a bit small and easy to drop if you’re working on a ladder or in tight spaces. I lost one to the grass and spent a good five minutes hunting for it like it was a contact lens. Still, once everything was secured, the box felt tight and professional. What I appreciate most is that it disappears into the background once installed. It’s not flashy, but it does its job quietly and reliably, which is exactly what you want from something protecting your electronics from the elements. If you’re tackling a DIY project that needs a weatherproof home for your components, this little enclosure earns its keep. It’s the kind of product you forget about after installing—until you realize that forgetting about it is the best sign it’s doing its job. Somewhat a good value for the cost.

No listings, good for low voltage/diy
Interior dimensions are roughly 5 1/2” x 5 1/2” x 1 1/2” bottom with an additional almost 7/8” in the cover. I’m not a fan of boxes which require you to make a hole to mount. Water will always find a way! They do include anchors and screws for mounting. Includes 8 installed grommets. Also not a fan of these. They are not very tight in the box. Would definitely meet any requirements for line voltage in the US. For diy this is a great box. I have a HVAC system that I’ll be relocating and I’ll be using this to splice in the old thermostat wiring to the new.

This little white box saved my backyard lights and my wire nuts!
Lorenzo in Miami checking in - where rain comes in biblical proportions and my DIY electrical skills are somewhere between "optimistic" and "Darwin Award nominee." I needed to hide some sketchy outdoor wiring for string lights, a motion sensor, and whatever else my wife keeps adding to the "honey-do" list. Enter this IP65 waterproof ABS junction box: 3.9 x 3.9 x 2.8 inches of pure, unadulterated heroism. First off, it's made of that tough highly functional ABS plastic that laughs at impact. I dropped a screwdriver on it during install - didn't even dent. Electrical insulation? Check. My wires are safer than my crypto wallet password. IP65 rating means dust, rain, hurricanes, jealous neighbors throwing shade - none of it gets in. I mounted it under the eaves during a Florida monsoon test: zero leaks, zero sparks, zero "why did I marry this man?" texts from inside the house. Drilling? A dream. I poked holes for cables like it was butter (pro tip: use a step bit, feel like a pro). Installation was so easy. Screws and expansion bolts included—because who has time to run to Home Depot mid-project? Snapped everything in, sealed it up, and boom: my backyard looks like a classy resort instead of a crime scene with exposed wires. Now my lights stay on through downpours, the motion sensor doesn't short out when Luna (our chaos gremlin dog) decides 2 a.m. is zoomie o'clock, and I haven't had to explain another "small electrical fire" to the HOA. It's compact enough to hide but big enough to feel like I actually know what I'm doing. This isn't just a box. It's a tiny fortress for your questionable wiring decisions. It protects electronics like a jealous ex protects secrets. Versatile for indoor/outdoor, DIY projects, whatever mad science you're cooking up. 5 stars. Would trust it with my life savings (mostly loose change and old gift cards). Would pose dramatically next to it during a rainstorm again. Sorry, neighbors - my yard is now waterproof and smug.

Solid waterproof project box for electronics hobby projects
I am not a professional electrician, but I do a fair amount of electronics hobby work and needed a waterproof enclosure with enough space to house a few ESP32 boards and a small DIY controller outdoors. This box ended up being a really good fit for that kind of project. The enclosure arrived fully assembled with flexible cable glands already installed, along with extra screws for mounting. The plastic feels sturdy and thick without being brittle, and it drills easily if you need to customize it. Inside, there are molded standoffs on the bottom that made mounting my electronics straightforward without having to improvise spacers or glue. The glands were easy to pierce with a sharp tool and worked well for routing low-voltage cables. One nice touch is the small protrusions on opposite corners that let you pass a cable or tie through and secure the box if needed. Before installing anything, I tested the waterproofing by submerging the box and running it under a faucet for a few minutes. Everything stayed completely dry, which gave me confidence using it outdoors. For low-voltage electronics projects, this has been a dependable and well-designed project box. The only thing worth noting is that the box does have a bit of flex if you press down on the center of the lid or twist it hard by hand. Other outdoor boxes I’ve used for 120V wiring felt more rigid than this one. For my low-voltage electronics setup, it hasn’t been an issue at all, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re expecting a heavy-duty enclosure.
