Does not work with 2026 F150
Does not work with 2026 F150 unless you remove other parts which is not what I want to do. Will only fit 25 models and under. If tailgate has tie downs it will not close with this product.

Not Amazing, but I am Glad I Ordered It
This is not a product that will wow you and amaze you, but it is a good product. I was a little skeptical about how it would work because my tailgate has the pull-out step ladder in the tailgate, so my tailgate is heavier than a standard tailgate. It is pretty easy to install if you watch the installation video that is part of the product description on Amazon, and the reason to watch is mainly to see where things go. The assist shock will hit one of the stock bolt heads, so they provide a replacement bolt with thinner bolt head. They also provide a little tool for stock bolts with the Torx heads which is convenient since it is a large Torx size. Once it was installed, I am pleased to say that the assist shock does very well even with my heavier tailgate. It is really nice to know that if I accidentally let the tailgate go, that it will no longer slam down. I am sure there could be other tailgate assist shocks that are just as good, or maybe better, so I am not amazed by it, but it works really well and was easy to install, so am I very pleased with it and would order again if I needed for a different truck.
