Scenario: I am going to a funeral at a church. It's about 96 degrees outside in the middle of summer. All of a sudden there is a huge huge downpour. I have to make it from parking lot, a distance from the church, with my freshly styled hair. I walked in the church looking like a wet rat. I felt like it was disrespectful but unavoidable at that time. Fast forward, I knew there had to be a solution and I recalled one from many many years ago in my youth my mother and grandmother are wearing what were called rain bonnets at the time. Simply a raincoat for just your head and hair. Something that you can keep in a very small baggy in the car and have if you need it. This product is literally the solution to the problem. It came not that long ago and ironically, I had a similar situation but a less formal event. I pulled it out, tied it on my hair and then when I walked into the building took it off folded it up and put it back in the zip lock bag I brought it in. My hair was dry and looked fantastic. No more wet rat. It's a simple solution that works for a goofy but miserable problem. Highly highly recommend. You don't have to wear it into your event, you can just take it off when you walk in the door or when you get under a covering. At least, that's what I did.

The images either are either ai or a different product. The part that goes down the back of your head/neck is about 3-4 inches…so this will only provide coverage for a small child.

Reminds me of years gone by my mother and women in the neighborhood always wore these bonnets on rainy days. They are still the same very nice

I got these see-thru plastic rain hats (brand. Qulkws) yesterday. I was expecting a quality similar to the disposable ponchos. No siree. These are well made with machine stitching all along the trims / edges. The design is very nice with a properly sized visor to fend off rain from the face. It has a naturally contoured shape to fit the head. The back is large and long enough to partially cover one’s shoulders. This is perfect to protect long hair in case you have it. The clear plastic is thicker than standard zipper bags. I can see that this is a one-size-fits-almost-all design because of the long tapered flaps and strings for tying as tight as one desires in the front. I would certainly keep one in my purse if I still need to commute to work. This rain hat is light and can be folded up compactly. Now that I have left the rat race, I will instead have one in the car to keep my hair dry when running between my car to the store in light rain. This will also be great when taking out trash to the curbside when it drizzles. These nice quality rainproof hats will keep your head or hair dry in moderate rain. Come to think of it, it may also be used as a windproof hat if you want to keep your freshly styled hairdo to look its best on a windy day. The price is excellent at $6.99 for six! I am very glad that I found them on Amazon.

This was a waste of money.

My mother-in-law is 89 and gets her hair set each week, so she is very protective of it in wind and rain. She lost her other rain bonnet so she tends to want to hold her coat above her head if it's windy. The problem is that she is unsteady on her feet and needs to have both hands on her walker. I ordered this six-pack of rain bonnets for her. I like that there are 6 because she has dementia and will likely lose or misplace them. I'll give her one to start and when it goes missing I'll replace it. These bonnets are well made and large enough for a variety of hairstyles. And because they're clear, they don't impede your vision. I like that they are longer in the back, which makes them useful for people with long hairstyles. It's the kind of thing people don't use much anymore, but honestly a rain bonnet makes sense, especially if you have your hands full and can't hold a umbrella. I would order these again (and probably will, since I'm sure she will lose these at a rate of 1 a month or so LOL).
