This XXXL box is twice the size of a standard litter box. I had a high profile automatic litter box for two years (LR4), which was great at first but gradually became a daily chore to clean -- and it was awkward to reach in -- and it developed an odor that was impossible to eliminate. So! I went back to scooping, but the world did not end, and this very large box allows me to put off scooping for 2-3 days (I have one old kitty using it at this time.) I appreciate the smoky colored plastic that covers half of the top as it allows me to see the condition of the box. This piece folds back and allows me to scoop without having to remove the entire top. Winner! It has a swinging door but so far I have left it off. I put it on once and 15-year-old princess left her deposit outside on the litter catching tray. We may try again since that was day two. The litter catching tray seemed strange at first because when kitty exits, if she hits it just right, it makes noise and the top grid can scoot around on the base. It does a good job of catching litter and kitty doesn't seem to mind. Overall I highly recommend this box -- Just make sure you have room for it!

I cannot give this litter box enough stars. It is the best litter box I have ever owned. I have a 19 pound tabby cat and he has extra room inside this box. I went from being able to smell his poo when he would go to the box to never smelling anything. He is also a litter flinger, and would get litter all over the floor, even though I had his high sided box inside of a litter box cabinet. There’s only a few pieces of litter that make it to the floor now and that’s when he jumps out through the door. The little litter catcher that you sit in front of it does actually catch litter when he comes out and helps to keep the extra little pieces off the floor. If you have a big cat, this box is for you! Best best box, ever! It also cuts way, way way down on the dust from the litter getting on anything else in the room. Excellent quality all the way around.

This litter pan has plenty of room for bigger cats and multi cat households. Only issue is with the top but love that you don't have to take the entire top off in order to clean.

We first bought a competitor's XXL litterbox. Nothing was wrong with it; we took in a 7-month-old kitten who is a kicker in the litter box. She would kick litter over the wall into the floor and left a mess to clean up. Since we could not get a lid for the current litterbox, we purchased this one. We are not disappointed, the quality is great, easy to clean, and the Lid is amazing. Very little cleaning around the opening where our two cats enter and exit. It is everything we expected. For someone who might ask, we left the flap off the opening a couple of days so our cats would acclimate going inside and out. Then we put the flap on and showed them how to use it a couple of times. They have been using the litterbox well ever since.

Being stainless steel, there is alot less oder being trapped vs our old plastic one. My cats seem to like the space it provides and alot less litter leaving the box vs the old. I dont like the litter tray outside of the box. The pieces dont fit right and dont snap together.

Perfect size for 2 large cats. Easy to clean and keeps smell to minimal.

This is the best cat litter box I have ever owned. I have a 16 lb cat and he fits in it just fine. No smell and easy to clean. Keeps the dogs out of it! I had a bit of trouble at first getting the top (where you open it for cleaning) to lock. I just make sure it is lined up and push down on the lid and it locks into place with no problem. Very happy with it.
