These simple stories are equally enchanting to adults as well as children. His writings take you to the hills of Masuri and Dehradun. His stories have a typical earthen aroma.

This was my first Ruskin Bond book. Overall, I found the Book was a good read. Quite a few stories were very interesting. A few were aLeighton and some were passable. Shows Author was very close to nature during his childhood and this relationship is woven in all of his stories. Transports the reader to the Hill-stations on quite a few occasions. Book delivery was on time and came with good packaging.

I'm almost 40 and this is my first Ruskin Bond. Although an avid reader since I was nine, I somehow missed Ruskin Bond's magical world in the siwaliks, a regret I have to this day. But all is not lost! I'm reliving the hot dusty summers when I used to board the sangam express to my aunt's place in Hardwar. And then onwards to Rishikesh and beyond by road. Such fond memories of hidden pools, waterfalls, temples, endless hills, elephants, ropeways...In this private world there are fewer cars, long stretches of eucalyptus trees unbroken by hotels and dhabas, lesser crowds. There's something about Bond that he speaks straight from the heart and it truly reaches your heart. In almost every story you'll find someone you know, someplace you've been, some bungalow that you've seen or lived in. I could go on and on...suffice to say if your kids are below 7 read it to them, if they're above encourage them to read. If you have no kids but want to rediscover simplicity, a world before smartphones, toxic social media and want to have a goodnight's sleep with a smile, get it! I promise you won't be disappointed.

Amazing paper and print quality and must read cozy stories

Recommend it to kids above 8 years for good English reading and enjoying fiction. Ruskin Bond's writing skill is captivating !
