Great machine, poor cooling. Gets too hot to touch

I bought the non flip version on sale from Costco with x7 358H 32gb ram 1tb ssd and it’s a beautiful little machine. Arguably very competitive with the new dell xps 16 and the acer swift 16ai+ bc they have the same processor options up to x9 388h but the msi is thinner and sleaker. The screen also gets extremely bright for an OLED at up to 1000 nits in HDR highlights for the x9 variant and 600 nits for the x7. The flip version also advertises gorilla glass on the touchscreen and it has that neat little stylus built into the “legs” if I hadn’t gotten such a good deal on the non flip I would absolutely be eyeing the $1999 flip version on Amazon. The reviews sometimes say these things run a little warm when pushed but they also say that’s normal considering it’s thinner and lighter than something like the xps 16 and I’ve never pushed mine that hard for it to be a “problem”. Notebookcheck did an in depth review of my exact machine and gave it 91/100 for thermals when taking all things into consideration and they rated it overall above the XPS 16 which is very high marks. The screen is beautiful and very large trackpad with cool gestures built in. The whole package is very understated and mature/tasteful looking. It also feels well put together with solid metal all around and doesn’t show fingerprints much at all. My only main grips is the downward facing speakers which are “fine” but the nature of downward firing takes away from them. It’s a compromise you make for an otherwise very premium machine with bleeding edge 1.8/2nm-class, 2027-facing micro-architecture.
