Yes. The large 16.5 x 11.8 in panel is designed to support textbooks, journals, Bibles, cookbooks, notes, tablets, and other study materials for hands-free reading.

Can I use it beside my bed or sofa?

Yes. The rolling base makes it easy to move from your desk to your bed, sofa, reading chair, kitchen, or apartment study corner. The wheels can be locked when in use.
