It's a beautiful piece of engineering!
I am amazed at the performance of the i215 LiDAR mower. It has freed me from the burden of lawn mowing. I've had mine for about 3 weeks and it has cut my lawn multiple times without incident. It updates its firmware by itself, it mows according to my schedule, charges by itself, warns me when a problem occurs (which has been never). Setup was walking the perimeter of my lawn sections. I have found that it cuts better on my Ohio lawn at 2.8 inches. Higher settings don't give as clean a cut. I also experimented with precision versus standard cutting and use precision for a cleaner cut. This requires more battery to accomplish but that's not an issue as the mower recharges when it runs low and returns to complete a task after being fully re-charged. Although my property is .27 acres (minus 1800 sq ft house, driveway and garage), the Navimow calculates my lawn area as .37 acres. I suspect this is because it has to turn around frequently which takes more battery to accomplish. We have a large pear tree that fills the lawn in August. The Navimow had no trouble with them. No mess, no contact. My largest swath is about 3050 square feet and this uses most of one battery charge to complete. I broke my lawn into 5 discrete areas instead of one large area. This makes scheduling cuts much simpler. I cut the back lawn 3 times a week and the front lawn twice a week. It's so quiet that it's noiseless when standing next to it. The app is outstanding and runs on my iPhone. It has a 3-year warranty, 2 years for the battery. The downside is that there are no dealers anywhere nearby in case of problems. That means returns go to China. I know it won't chop leaves in the fall so I still need my gas mower, for now.

Needs better customer service
If theres any issues or it has to be sent back. The customer pays shipping which at cheapest is $320. The garage is just a piece of plastic and totally unnecessary

LiDAR, GeoSpatial navigation reference and height adjustment great. —-Set ‘n Forget—-
Fantastic. Fantastic. Fantastic. It’s the third robot in my home. I never thought I’d ever say that. 1st was navigation my Wi-Fi. Very wonky. Carpets floors, etc. 2020 2nd was navigation by mapping and LiDAR with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Carpets and mopping. Much better. 2024 3rd This is basically GPS mapping, which you can actually see in my pics the real layout - so they paid for that feature through ESRI or some other provider, and it overlays right onto what it just mowed. That is so cool. That’s why you have a steep monthly price. It’s using geospatial information to help you navigate and take care and maintain your property. Layout and pattern recognition are excellent. If you have a peninsula area it seems to get stuck and rotates over and over until I can figure out how to get out again. It’s like a little puzzle. I hope it likes it. The reason I got it is for my small patch that is absolutely beautiful behind my gazebo that the commercial mowers tend to scar up and do a pretty poor job. Those little clippers. It takes a while, but it does it in style. Works like a champ. Instructions are terrible. Took two hours to do 2200 ft.². But it did it beautifully. Installation notes; It’s so quiet you can’t hear it. Ever. I did not use the superduper traction control because it tended to get stuck. I just took it right out of the box and boom. Had to ONLY manually walk it once and it was perfecto… I WAS PRETTY WONKY AT IT. Wowskers! Relocated to two different home locations with the garage, it seems to like the garage. After the 2200 ft.² it was left with approximately 33% battery. Ended up with a height adjustment of 2.8 inches. The measurement ability is awesome. The only reason four stars not five; It probably needs two more blades so it can go at least 25% faster if not 50%. Would’ve expected my patch to be one hour to one and a half hours - no more. But hey, it’s a robot and I don’t have to give it any water. It literally uses drops of power to charge. Maybe 40 W? Designed by Segway. Founder was a WPI Grad like me. And Goddard. Yep, that guy!
