Great compact earmuffs
I have been using this ear muff for several months now and they are great. The only concern I had at the time was with the low NRR rating, but since I have a way around it for my purposes, it wasn't a deal breaker. And besides, the price was so affordable that I wouldn't be out much money if it didn't work out. For my purposes, I use this ear muff whenever I go out to the range (indoor and outdoor). To get around the low NRR I use double hearing protection which means I use a disposable ear plug with the ear muff over it. I can still hear the range master since they use a PA system all the while I'm avoiding serious hearing damage (from both the PA system and the gun sounds). But the main reason why I bought this style ear muff (other than it was from Howard Leight) was that at the time my older one was just too bulky. It was great at blocking noise, but it made it such that I couldn't get a low cheek weld on my rifle's butt stock. This meant having to raise the sights needlessly. As a rule of thumb, you want your scope as low and close to the barrel as possible. Since this ear muff is about half the thickness of my older one, it allowed me get a low cheek weld and also allowed me to put the scope much closer to the barrel. In addition this ear muff is really light weight, looks good, and not as tight as I expected it to be. You do want to be a little careful when extending/retracting the ear muffs from the head band since the steel frame used to connect the muffs to the headband is thin. I always feel like I might inadvertently bend or break it. Also, I bought a pair of Radians Clay Pro Shooting Glasses which has a really thin wireframe. This helps in eliminating any tightness around the ears for those of you who find wearing this ear muff with your existing shooting glass uncomfortable. Now there's one cautionary note. If you are going to be in close proximity to large caliber gunfire (especially indoors) or around sound that is about or over 160 decibels, this ear muff may not be sufficient for you unless you use ear plugs along with this. Other than that, this is a great buy.

Good Earmuffs Make All The Difference
I bought these Howard Leight LOF earmuffs after using a cheap pair of another brand for many years. Makes all the difference in the world! These earmuffs are well made and lightweight. They fit my head gently and well. The old ear muffs squeezed my head and ears. Gave me a light headache. No one in my family wanted to wear them. The slim profile of these LOF earmuffs help them to be lightweight and compact and interfere less with the stock when shooting a rifle. If you wear them during outdoor shooting, the lower noise reduction of the earmuffs is fine. However, I recommend using ear plugs with the earmuffs if you are shooting at an indoor range. I bought a pair of Howard Leight L3 earmuffs for use at an indoor range because they have a higher noise reduction rating. They are equally comfortable and tame the harsh noise at an indoor range. The price of the earmuffs is great and Amazon Prime free shipping makes it a great value. I wish I had bought these LOF earmuffs a long time ago... I'll be buying another pair or two in the near future.

Good Fit, Work Well With Plugs
I bought these for my girlfriend to take to the shooting range becuase she is not a fan of the noise. She wore them along with a pair of in ear buds for added protection. She said they were OK but it's tough to go on that because she didn't like the sound initially anyways. I can say that I put them on without additionally ear plugs while a 9mm and .40cal were being fired and I have to be honest, I wouldn't wear only these to the range. It was a new indoor area so I wasn't really used to the acoustics in there a whole lot compared to my usual range so that may have played a part. Don't get me wrong, they definitely functioned in dampening the sound. They would absolutely work if you had nothing else, but from my brief encounter they wouldn't be the first ear protection I own that I would reach for. That being said, I am sure they work fine with additional ear plugs in. I must say they are very comfortable, sleek profile and everything. They fold up into a very nice neat package which is great. I am a bit nervous about breaking the small metal wire though when I adjust them, but it hasn't happened yet so whatever. All in all they are good so far and I won't be sending them back. Get them if you are considering it.

Excellent earmuffs for the price, great quality and comfortable.
I casually shoot rifle, handgun and trap/skeet. I purchased these after spending some time looking for affordable, quality hearing protection and have been very pleased. I've had several sets of muffs, ranging from the $5 Walmart specials to $80 electronic sets, and these are my most-used and favorite. Pros: - Easy to collapse and carry. - I have a rather large head, easily adjustable and fit perfectly. No issues with pain or digging in after several hours at the range and the muffs aren't too tight. - Durable, I've had several pairs that broke after just a few uses.. no issues here. - Solid hearing protection without being too constricting. I would recommend these without reservation, very functional.

Great performance for the price, just know what you are buying and you will be happy
I was looking for a low profile, lightweight, folding compact ear muff to use at the gun range, and low and behold I found it on Amazon. Other reviewers complain that the fit is tight... well yeah it's only common sense that it has a tighter fit because 1) it is lighter than other big heavy ear muffs(like Peltor), and 2) the low profile ear pieces aren't as deep as other ear muffs so it needs to put more pressure on your head so that it seals the sound out effectively. Sure, it doesn't suppress the gun shots as much as the Peltor Ultimate 10 which has a NRR of 30, but what do you expect for having folding earmuffs that weigh 3.2 ounces less(the Peltor Ultimate 10 is 11.2 ounces)? They work fine with my Radians Revelation Protective Shooting Glasses... some other reviewers complain that wearing shooting glasses with these muffs will let sound into the seal around the ear. Well, sorry to bust your bubble but any ear muff will suffer a little bit if wearing shooting glasses with them. I use Radians Revelation Protective Shooting Glasses and they work extremely well with these L0F earmuffs, I just angle the ear pieces up 30 degrees so they are not resting on my ears... instead they are up on the side of my head and not interfering with the ear muffs. Perfect! Another added benefit of these ear muffs is that they will not interfere with the stock of your rifle when looking down the sights because of their low profile. Any other big ear muffs will interfere for sure. For their design and price, these Howard Leight ear muffs are excellent! Just know what you are buying so you don't expect the same performance of a larger, bulkier ear muff.

Ear Protection
These were purchased to cut down the level of noise when I till my soil using a gas powered tiller. Once you get a solid fit you will be protected. They are also easy to clean with a micro fiber towel. I got the black and they look sleek and stylish. Lawn cutting season is coming and I plan on using them then as well. Other people buy them for firearm related activities so they are versatile for many people. Its a purchase that you will make once and will end up keeping for many years and using for various tasks. Can't go wrong with buying something like that. Photos if product after one use and wiped down.

Love The Compact Size!! Noise Reduction Not So Great.
I pretty much knew this as I was buying them, but this was a case where fashion over function got the best of me. I love the compact size of these ears, but at the indoor range, the noise reduction was not great (not poor either). I may have to wear ear plugs with them, but aside from that, they are very comfortable, easily adjustable, and did not hurt my ears or give me a headache after wearing them for an hour. Great price, and I imagine good for people that prefer a slim earmuff for firing a rifle. I am not dissatisfied with these ears and I will continue to use them.

great muffs
I purchased these for use while shooting sporting clays and with my AR15. For shotgun, they are plenty, but I was initially concerned that with only a 23NRR that they wouldnt be enough for the AR. So far, they seem just fine though. While shooting the AR outdoors and with a buddy next to me with a .40 pistol, they protected my ears pretty well. Note that this was outdoors, so indoors might be a different situation. They are indeed a slim profile and I only bumped against them a few times, but it didnt effect my cheek weld one bit. Comfort was great, I wore them for about and hour and a half straight and didn't have any discomfort. They fold up nice and compact as well, maybe a tad bigger than a 12ga 25ct box of 3" shells. I also brought these to work for use indoors in machinery spaces. I found their performance to be a little lacking there, tolerable for short periods, but you could do better for longer durations. Then again these are shooting muffs, so they are a bit out of their niche for that purpose and it shouldnt count against them.

Excellent, sleek, effective
A cost-effective pair of earphones that you won't be embarrassed to wear. When you're 64 your grandchildren will have these to thank that they don't need to scream at you. Highly recommended.

good product, good price
This product arrived on time as expected. I use it for ear protection at the firing range and it does an excellent job. it is very comfortable over the ears and does not interfere with eyeglasses. The noise suppression is excellent yet conversations are easily understood. Good price and good bang for the buck. Highly recommended.

Not as my expectation.
I am aircraft technician. Wearing ear protection is a must due to loud sound of engine running. The size of the ear muff is small and compatible to bring along during the work. !!! But only the problem is it cannot cut the loud sound of engine run. I need to put on ear plugs in together with the Howard Leight. It is not the same quality as last time I bought it during 2016. The quality lesser than the previous one I bought. I feel disappointed.
