1402-87, 24-Piece Bridal Bells, 1.5-Inch, Silver

So, I have been going back and forth between these bells and a smaller (1in vs 1.5in), much cheaper bell for our wedding reception favors. After reading several reviews on different sites, I chose these because the overall consensus seemed to be that these bells ring nicely. Got my bells yesterday (all ten boxes!) and opened one of the boxes to inspect. As it turns out, they do ring nicely; fairly loudly, too, though not so much as to be obnoxious. No, they are not brass bells, so they don't ring quite as clearly or beautifully as those would, but they also don't cost nearly as much.I would say that if you are VERY particular and you want bells that sound amazing AND you have the money, knock yourself out and get the real deal brass bells. However, if you are planning a wedding on a budget like me and just want a cute, nicely ringing bell for favors and/or kiss signalers (so no broken glassware!), these are perfect.The poem card attached is ridiculously small and kind of ugly. Plus, of the bells I looked at, about half the cards were bent. From reading reviews, I had already decided that I wasn't going be using these anyway, so I am not worried about it. I would say that if these poem cards were looking like a plus for you, take them out of your equation, because when you see them you will probably be disappointed.The bells also have a metallic string attached (which the poem cards are on), which is pretty nice and I plan to keep that on. I might use someone elses suggestion of printing my own poem card and attaching it when I tie ribbon in our colors on these bells.Overall, I am super happy with my purchase. I am glad I sprung for the more expensive bells. They really are a great size for a party favor, especially after I attached ribbon to them, and they sound very pretty. I will probably update this once I start going through the bells to decorate them, but for now, I would recommend this if you need a favor that rings loud and sweet on a budget.

After reading the reviews I was a little worried that these bells would be too small for what I needed but after taking one out and testing it I can see that it'll work perfectly. Some reviews said that the bells were too small and that they weren't loud enough to be heard but maybe those people were expecting something bigger like cow-bells?I think these bells are perfect in size as to not to be annoying. They are small enough to be cute without being overbearing but large enough so that their tinkiling can be heard without being abnoxious. They are sturdy and uniform (all bells are the same size, not cheap looking and they don't have abnormal sides etc) and they already have a cute little tag attached with a poem.If I have time I plan to add my own decoration to them but this is totally not necessary in my opinion. I also plan on removing the poem that comes attached and replace it with one that mentions ringing the bell to encourage the bride and groom to share a kiss. That's what the purpose of the bell will be for my wedding afterall but considering that it was the only one that already came with a poem I really can't complain. If I bought different bells (half the amount for the same price) I would have to attach my own poem anyway (these bells are the only ones that I saw that come with a poem already attached). Overall I thought that the price was well worth it and originally I had thought to only buy a few for each table but because it was such a deal I bought enough to give one bell to each guest instead.PS the poem reads:This tiny Weddingbell salutes theBride and Groomand the joy thatfills the roomRing it loud, whenthey are near,so all may hearthe pledge of lovethe hold so dear

We actually got them to hang on strings around the home for a ferret who is wild about ringing bells. Yes, they can be a good pet toy for the right pet, too. Some had clappers that were a bit difficult to free up but all eventually worked. The clappers in the ones in our box are very well attached, BTW. None in the box we got were at risk of coming off, though you obviously should check your own if young children, or pets, or others who may get themselves into trouble will ever use them, of course. They have a pleasing little ring. Another possible use is having some around for children to use when the kids get sick with sore throats and need an adult to help. I actually wound up putting 1/2 of ours away to use as holiday tree ornaments! They are just the perfect size for any tree that is at least 3 and half feet tall, being large to moderate sized ornaments for small trees, and small ornaments for large trees. So, take it from someone who has been married for 33 years that these have additional uses beyond wedding or anniversary uses. I could even imagine them as party favors for the right people.

Love these bells. The ring is clear and the finish is very nice. We used this to ring a toast to the engaged couple at their wedding rehearsal dinner. The guests loved them, and you could hear them well even if only one was ringing. The guests loved them and even took them to the wedding the next day for more ringing. The bride plans to decorate them with small ribbons to hand on her Christmas tree this year. Others have remarked that the clappers on some are stuck. This is a packaging problem and not a manufacturing problem. The few that were "stuck" on ours were easily moved to the correct position with no effort or damage.

They arrived on time and they ring really good, however you have to look at each one as the metal piece is jammed in about 1/2 of them, so to make sure they all ring you have to go through them one by one. The little note is nice but the string it's attached on makes them look kind of cheap. I replaced the note and the string with my own ribbon and they look awesome. The most important to me was getting a bell you could hear and these are perfect, not too loud but not too soft either, they have a nice ring to them.
