Great Yarn. Love the colors

This yarn is very easy to work with. Makes lovely crocheted items. I made a bucket hat with the yarn and also some chicken stress balls.

The yarn is super soft and pretty, however, the balls are very small. I expected larger balls of yarn. Maybe it's the way they were packed but they seem to me to be about half the size they should be.

It was exactly what I was looking for

Presentation: Yarn came vacuum-sealed in a plastic bag (though it wasn't has packed down as others- still a bit fluffy in the plastic). Once opening it fully expands on its own, no fluffing necessary. I did note that some of the diners crushed during shipping didn’t fully rebound but it's negligible. The color is a perfect burgundy and matches the pictures. The yarn cones in a skein with a rather limited label - practically no info and fall off easily. The center pull was on the easier side and was easy to get started. Texture: this chenille yarn isn't the softest but still feels nice on the skin. It's nice and fluffy somewhere in the range of a size 4 or 5. It will work great for Amigarumi to get a nice soft plushie. Or even a warm blanket. Experience/Quality: Sekafris chenille really seems like a hit-or-miss for me. I actually enjoyed working with this skein and didn't have great issue with shedding or breakage. Spiralling isn't an issue for chenille so that's nice but frogging would occasionally leave some crushed areas that don't bounce back making it a little patchy. Pulling my magic circle taut was a little difficult but I didn't have the frequent breakage or shedding so I was pleased the extra effort payed off. The Stitch definition for this yarn isn't great for those who like nice crisp stitches but great for those who prefer a more blended look. But it also means it's not great for beginners learning to identify and count stitches. Best Use: this is a pretty versatile chenille. Great for Blankets, wearables, decor, and Amigarumi. Because of the limited info on the label I wouldn't recommend for Baby items. Quality vs Value: its not a huge skein - about 85 yards - and it looks like more due to the fluff. Most projects will require multiple skeins. Buying these in bulk may make more sense as $8 is a bit steep for most projects. Overall/Recommendation: this yarn is nice for Amigarumi but I'd urge beginners to look elsewhere. This yarn was a nice quality but I've had issues with other Sekafris chenille so I say buy at your own risk level. I did enjoy my experience with this skein though and would repurchase based on this skein alone. There are better and cheaper yarns out there but this one is nice. 4/5 stars
