This is a really eye-catching puzzle once you get it out of the box. The colours are bold and vibrant, and the dragon design has plenty of detail to keep it interesting without being overwhelming. For 300 pieces it strikes a nice balance - not too easy, but not something that drags on for days either. The pieces feel sturdy and slot together firmly, which I always appreciate. Nothing flimsy or badly cut, and once sections are joined they stay together rather than falling apart when you nudge them. The print quality is clear and sharp, so you’re not squinting at blurry areas trying to guess where things go. It’s a satisfying build and looks great when finished.

The 'Jigsaw Puzzles, 300 Pieces, Crystal Dragon' arrived in a shrink wrapped printed box that also included a reference picture. The reference picture included with this jigsaw was just 208mm x 140mm which is in my opinion rather small; I personally prefer a full size reference picture as I find it easier to match a piece to its location. The wood product pieces in this jigsaw have a gloss finish; I find this can reflect light when working under artificial lighting and would prefer a satin or even matt finish as they create less reflection; the bevelling at the edges of the pieces also increase reflection. I measured the thickness of a randomly selected piece using uncalibrated Vernier callipers and recorded a measurement of 1.93mm. It was good to find this jigsaw had been segmented as this allows the jigsaw to be assembled in more restricted space. This jigsaw has 6 sections marked as A to F on the rear of the pieces. After sorting this jigsaw into its sections it took my wife and I just 51 minutes to assemble one section at a time, and then finally assemble the jigsaw; this time includes the time taken to sort the pieces. The pieces for this jigsaw were a tight fit together and I was able to pick the jigsaw up by one edge and hold it vertically. I have included pictures of each completed section and the fully assembled jigsaw.

Das Puzzle kommt in einer kleinen, hübschen Geschenke-Box mit Beutel und Poster. Die Farben sind wirklich klasse und leuchtend. Ich fand das Motiv, als Viel-Puzzlerin, mittelschwer und hab fast eine Stunde dafür gebraucht. Eine schöne, kleine Beschäftigung für zwischendurch. Das Motiv ist glänzend, die Teile greifen richtig fest ineinander, daran musste ich mich erst gewöhnen. Ein paar mal ging es richtig schwer. Aber alle Teile passen eindeutig. (Ich hasse es, wenn die Teile so gestanzt sind, dass man nicht eindeutig sagen kann, ob ein Teil passt oder nicht).

This is a fun puzzle to put together, but I'm glad it was only 300 pieces. It's a cool looking image when held at arms length, but the longer you look at it, the more odd it seems. I'm not totally sure if this was drawn by human hands. There's a few odd sections that suggest "AI", such as the dual perspective on the end of the wing, where the wing tip looks like it's in front of the rock, while the top of the rock is covering the webbing of the wing. The back feet claws don't match aesthetically left to right side of the dragon, and . The spikes on the tail don't follow a very clean line up to the back, and the spikes just sort of stop once they get to the wing, but then start on the upper back again. The crystals also have no reason to be all lumpy and blurry... they should be straight and geometric. More broadly, the scales and patterns are just so busy and random, that it throws me off, rather than feeling like detail. There's just this haze on the details that feels off. Our puzzle went together with no missing pieces. The quality of the print and cuts matches what we're used to. Overall, I don't think it's a bad puzzle. It looks pretty, I like the theme, and hope that more puzzles come out like this... but I REALLY wish that some more editing went into this image, whether it's AI generated or not. Regardless of who or what makes the image, I will judge it on it's quality, and this one needed work. It's too expensive for the size of the puzzle and quality of the artwork.
