good quality product

I was skeptical about using cheap RG58 to operate QRP but decided to give it a try. This stuff was pretty nice and worked just fine. I am happy that I bought it and no longer have to fight heavier cable outside.

There was something wrong with each of the connectors. You can screw them on easily enough, but when you unscrewed them, there wasn't enough room between the end of the connector and the start of the jacket- it wouldn't fully unscrew the cable! A clear tolerance issue - on both ends. Using the cable in a semi-permanent connection might not be a problem - but that's not the situation. I can't use the cable.

I thought this was just cheap Chinese junk coax, after receiving it and testing...it actually is pretty good!! I measured the loss of my 50 feet piece of this coax using my calibrated Vector Analyzer and, amazingly, it shows only -1.16dB loss in the total 50 foot section at 30MHz. So for HF use, or anything under 30MHz, this is rather insignificant. The exact same test set up using my Belden RG8X shows -.89dB loss. Folks, that much higher priced Belden cable is showing only a 0.27dB difference from this very inexpensive RG58 coax! Now, you might ask, so what will the loss be with a 3:1 mismatch? I don't know but at a 3:1 mismatch, generic RG58C shows an "additional" loss of slightly less than -1dB per 100 feet. So I am going to assume this 50 foot piece will have a total loss of less than -2.2dB to -2.5dB with a pretty high 3:1 SWR. I find that to be 100% acceptable. I am very happy with this, esepcially at such a reaonable price and it's good flexibility.
