this set was actually pretty cute. I used tonal frosting to look like ocean and simply added the decorations. Made for a fun 5-year old's mermaid birthday cake.

It was beautiful and good quality. It had an industrial smell to it kind of a rubbery stinch. I soaked everything in soap and water and let dry for a few days. That helped! The gold coral/leaves left gold on your hands. Some also came off in the water too. It all worked out though. It was worth the money. The leaves are not for small cakes fyi, they’re big. For the tail I hot glued the clear piece flat side onto it to stick into the cake. The seaweed is small but worked out.

I mixed this set with another mermaid set so not everything in the picture is referenced in the grouping of toppers. I did like that each of the provided items (mermaid tales, clams) were a heavy duty hard plastic rubber substance. Definitely make sure you wash them before directly applying them as they had a dusty-like film on them. Past that, it was adorable, and accented the cake very well. The golden corals were cute, but I didn't like that the stems themselves were insanely long and didn't hold the corals upright, they would fall to the sides very easily.

These toppers are HUGE! Not sure what size of cake they're showing in the picture, but a 2-layer cake was not big enough for the golden sea fronds. The plastic pieces are sturdy and quite easy to wash off, but overall their scale was too large for a regular birthday cake.
