BioGaia Baby Probiotic Drops | Colic & Gas Relief | Safe for Newborns

My son just turned 2 months I have five children and I never had a child with colic or stomach issues. This last one has been so hard, we've had at least 3 full days of crying and all the rest of the days littered with tummy pains and constipation. I was feeling so beaten and longed for relief for my baby. Thankfully I searched and found this product. Today is the 3rd day my baby has taken this and the first night he's slept all the way through the night. Yesterday he pooped and today he pooped again normally. Some days he would go at least 3 days without pooping. THIS STUFF WORKS!!! He doesn't get whiny after feedings anymore he hasn't cried or arched from tummy pains and I'm so very relieved and impressed at how quickly this has made my baby happy and normal. I am recommending this product to all my friends who have babies. The best part? You can give this to a newborn which is really hard to find a product that can be given from day one. He still has some tummy tickles but nothing that makes him uncomfortable or in pain. I will get on the subscription for this stuff as it is so worth it. Yes the bottle is small but it's 25 servings in each bottle so about a months worth of product. Don't delay just try it!

I usually don’t do reviews but I figured that I would write this so if there’s any desperate parents out there like I was, this is for you. My son has silent reflux and very terrible gas. It’s usually so bad it keeps him awake and he’s in so much pain he fights his sleep. I started to give him gas drops and I did notice a difference however it wasn’t significant enough to do the job. I started doing research and found that probiotics can help gas/colic/reflux. My son’s pediatrician recommended this one so I immediately ordered it. Now mind you, my son has been EXTREMELY fussy and upset the past 2 weeks. It’s been a serious struggle. Nothing I would do would calm him down. I started this product a week ago and give it to him for his first feeding of the day, and today exactly 7 days later I’ve seen the most remarkable improvements in him. He’s so much happier, comfortable, and just overall seems content. He wakes up happy and smiling, no screaming his head off. After he eats no more arching his back, all the symptoms he was having has been reduced by at least 70%. He’s taking naps again, like 2-4 hour naps during the day which before I couldn’t get him to do anymore than 20 minutes for nothing. But he’s seriously thriving. If you’re struggling with any of the things I just listed above, PLEASE give this stuff a shot! For reference, my son is almost 8 weeks old. Edit- it’s now been almost a month since I started giving these to my son. His reflux has been significantly reduced since starting these, and his symptoms have pretty much all the way completely disappeared. My constantly crying baby turned into the happiest little guy. I also wanted to add I put this in his bottle and he drinks it fine. Before you give this to your child I would ask their pediatrician first, but this specific one is safe for newborns. Edit #2- it’s now been 2 months since I started giving these to my son, he’s still doing AMAZING. We ran out of the product a few days ago and I had to wait for more to be delivered and he had the most terrible day ever, so I will continue to buy these and give them to him until he doesn’t need them anymore. If I could buy this product for all the parents out there I would. This stuff is literally magic. My son is thriving on it! Edit #3- it’s been months since I’ve made this review, I just want to say, that this is what worked for MY son. All babies are different, and not everyone will have the experience that we did. Probiotics don’t work for every baby…and no, I am NOT an affiliate. I’m just a regular stay at home mom trying to navigate through motherhood just like everyone else is. Final edit- my son is now seven months old and doesn’t need them anymore. He basically grew out of his reflux.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I started using BioGaia Protectis Baby Probiotic Drops to help with my baby’s gas and tummy discomfort, and I noticed a positive difference after consistent use. The drops are easy to give and mix well with a bottle or can be given directly as directed. My baby seemed more comfortable, had fewer episodes of fussiness related to gas, and appeared calmer throughout the day. I also like that the formula is simple and designed specifically for infants. Overall, this has been a helpful addition to our daily routine and something I would consider using again.

Wait, I want to tell you something awesome. There’s been actual research on how to decrease gas in babies and the ONLY proven result is THIS very specific strain of probiotics. The gripe water and Mylicon stuff have NO proven effects. The only proven way to decrease gas is putting five drops of the bacteria strain used in BioGaia in a bottle each day. Before, my baby would arch her back and cry with gas, but now we don’t even have to burp her! My parent have been absolutely shocked at how happy our baby is now~ this product has dramatically improved her gas, she literally doesn’t cry from gas at all anymore. I suggest it to everyone, this stuff actually works

One of the best thing a got fir my baby! This help her a lot with the Fussiness and colics. Of course you have to be consistent 🙄 but really work. I believe the taste is good 'case my baby didn't complain hahaha

I believe these have helped my new 5 month old. She started it very gassy and uncomfy but since being regular with these she has been better. Of course with a baby it's hard to know because their gut is still maturing but she's thriving and not uncomfy anymore

Now, I am not a doctor...and each baby is unique. I got this right away because a friend of mine and researching me on the internet warned me about a period where your newborn might not poop consistently for 1-3 weeks due to their gut maturing and changing to be able to digest the food better. As soon as I noticed that my baby didn't poop for 24 hours around month 1 i started to use these drops. 5 drops a day as the tube suggested and it's helped my baby with pooping. Now, they don't take effect right away, so i use them as soon as possible each day. Don't forget to shake! It's easy to mix since you just have to shake the tube. I was adding 5 drops to my babies bottles and switched to directly dropping it on her tongue, or by giving it to her with a baby spoon. It seems to be a little greasy... from what I have noticed, I need to give it to my baby slowly smaller than a 5 drop increment, like one drop at a time to allow her to swallow it otherwise she spits it all up and then I am not sure if it works well. My pediatrician said that these are good to use if you baby is constipated. You might need to order two just to keep one on backup just in case you run out.

I specifically looked for a probiotic that could help my baby have hydrated, soft stools instead of dry, clumpy poop or diarrhea. We had tried MaryRuth’s baby probiotics, but unfortunately they didn’t make any noticeable difference. After researching, I found that two strains had the evidence I was looking for: BB-12 and DSM 17938. My baby was 6 weeks old at the time, combo fed but mostly on Enfamil Gentlease NeuroPro Optimum. I found DSM 17938 in BioGaia and BB-12 in Culturelle Baby Probiotics. Based on my research both of these strains had the best chance at making my baby's poop the proper hydration level. On day 1, I gave full doses of both to introduce the probiotics quickly. Unfortunately, he had a lot of gas and cried quite a bit as his gut adjusted. It was a rough day, but I was willing to push through because I wanted to improve his gut health. On day 2, I switched to half doses of both products. His poop was already improving, it was no longer the horrible dry paste it had been, although it still wasn’t perfect. By day 3, his poop had a better color and was noticeably more hydrated. The intense fussiness from the initial probiotic introduction was gone. By day 4, his poop was softserve consistency, and he had significantly less gas. He was also sleeping longer stretches and no longer waking up in obvious discomfort from stomach pain. Since then, I have continued giving half doses of both probiotics daily. His stomach has improved so much, including during the day. He is no longer constantly crying from gas. I honestly wish I had started this from birth because it would have saved both of us a lot of stress. Update: He is now 2 months old, fully formula-fed, and still having perfect yellow, soft, slightly seedy stools that look very similar to breastfed baby poop. Two weeks of probiotics made a huge difference in his digestion. He sleeps 5 hour stretches at night and no longer wakes up in pain from gas. His poop is no longer green, dry, and like chalk. To clarify, I am using Culturelle AND this product together at half doses daily, not BioGaia alone. Update 2: He is now 3.5 months old and his poop is still consistently yellow, soft, and seedy. It even smells a little like yogurt. His poops are perfectly hydrated, not watery, but also not dry, chalky, or difficult to pass. My original issue seemed to be that his body wasn’t properly hydrating his poop, which left him constipated and in significant pain. Using these probiotics along with Culturelle helped resolve that within about a month. They are expensive, but for us they were absolutely worth it. After about a month of consistent use, his gas pains improved dramatically and he became much better at farting comfortably, lol Final update: Baby is a year old and eating a varied diet. I no longer have to give probiotics but I am about to have another baby in a month and I already have these ready to go. I am confident enough in this product I genuinely expect to get sleep this time around and I'm not scared. As soon as she is born she is getting her probiotics so I can avoid chaos again.

I purchased this product upon Doctors & pharmacists recommendations but I'm not comfortable giving my baby a product that contains sunflower oil. Its just sitting there on the shelf.
