Third studio album by the American heavy metal band. In early 2002, medium-quality MP3s of the album were released on the internet under the name 'Toxicity II'. The band issued a statement expressing disappointment that fans were hearing material that was unfinished, and they worked to release a completed, better quality version of the album, which became 'Steal This Album!' Review: good CD - Daughter loves this album, gave it as a Christmas Present. Review: Don't steal this album, it's worth every penny (minus 36p) - As many reviewers have said before me, this album is splendid, though not a great "initiation" album for non-fans. Almost every track is brilliant or at least holds some merit. Allow me to provide you all with a track by track reference to the CD! 1) Chic'n'Stu - A clever pun of a title, this anti-advertising song opens the CD well witha fast paced, unique metal track. 2) Innervision - Brilliant. Not only is Serj's unique choral-like voice displayed, but some damn good guitar riffs too. This is very much in the vein of the Toxicity album 3) Bubbles - A frantic, almost mental collection various lyrics and background noises and a damn catchy chorus (not to mention the odd background noises provided by what sounds like a small Mexican falling down a cliff). 4) Boom - Politically-charged track with a heavy, deep message against the self expedient nature of our Western governments. The last lines "4,000 hungry children die needless per hour, the bottom line is money nobody gives a f***" are spot on. 5)Nuguns - My fave track. Great instrumental, catchy chorus, deep message about child abuse/sex slavery (from what I can tell) and a wonderful Armenian mandolin solo 1.32 minutes in! 6)ADD -A dramatic, but not greatly impressive, drum-heavy rock track. 7)Mr Jack - Starts off wonderfully jazzy and laid back, with one of the most dramatic last seconds of ANY song I've heard ("Put your hands up, get out of the car!...") 8) So damn catchy. And just try to work out what Serj is saying! It's difficult, but it makes sense eventually. 9)36 - A pointless, rubbish time-filler. Not even 36 secs long like you'd expect. 10)Pictures - Unimpressive Jet Pilot-esque song with cool vocals and mini trumpet fanfare from Daron. 11)Highway Song - Catchy, but not greatly memorable. 12) F the System - Brilliant anti-establishment ravings. Nigh-on incomprehensible but damn amusing and catchy. 13)Ego Brain - The new aerials. Need I say more? 14)Thetawaves - Eh? How does it go again? Not a great track. 15)Roulette - A wonderful harmonic duet with acoustic guitars. Daron goes a tiny bit off key at times, but this hardly spoils the song. 16)Streamline - My new favourite. You'll want to pump this up to full volume and wail along with Serj "Yoooooou aaaaaare goooooone, goodbyeeeeee soooooo loooooong". Very heartfelt, great chorus, and fantastic, exuberant guitaring. Well, I hope my little tirade was helpful to you. On the whole, bar .36, every track will hold appeal to you metal fans out there. Even my DAD likes Roulette, Nuguns and Streamline.

Unique and original
One of the most overlooked rock bands - unique and original!! Brilliant lyrics, riffs, politics - hard core music with both meaning and humour. You can hear the Armenian influence even though the guitars are so heavy. Even the most heavy tunes are captivating and often haunting. Makes a change to 'same old....same old' - there is nothing like SOAD and when you're hooked you are well and truly hooked.

Pretty good
I really enjoyed this CD. Not The strongest album from SOAD, But still really enjoyable. When I got the CD the case was broken sadly.

another good bit of music from SOAD
A strange and dark album, but isn't that all SOAD? You'll find some weird stuff on there that will blow your mind so hard you'll have to live out the rest of your life as a humble servant of the sun gods.

Good clean LP pressing of a great album. Growing up listening to this band was fun. It's nice to hear it on vinyl through a well-tuned "system" lol.

Criminally underrated and chaotically brilliant, Steal This Album! might just be System of a Down’s most unhinged and inspired work. It’s not a B-sides collection—it’s a full-on album that hits just as hard (and sometimes harder) than their more polished releases. Tracks like Mr. Jack, I-E-A-I-A-I-O, and Boom! are pure, unfiltered SOAD—political, poetic, and completely unpredictable. The production feels raw and alive, and the band sounds like they’re having fun pushing every boundary. This is the deep-cut treasure that separates casual listeners from true fans. Five stars. Own it, spin it, and appreciate just how fearless this band really is.

Que dire... C'est du System of a Down !
