This is my second cap, I highly recommend them. Easy to install into 8 inch metal chimney pipe. I bought my first one over 5 years ago and it lasted through wild weather and ongoing use. I use my wood stove over 9 months a year through wind and rain and snow.After about 5 years the metal thins and the arching brace breaks. Maybe the manufacturer can improve on this design.

Does work good bought for my grandmother and she burns fire slow. The grate had build up issue, making have a draw problem. Removed grate and top put longer bolt on top and raised top couple inches left great off, great draw now and come summer I will lower top put great back on to keep birds and bats out.shipping was little slow!

product is alot of money to buy and have to mess around with!!! after quite a run around the manufacture came through and is sending a part to replace badly manufactured one .

This cap looks great and is dimensionally correct, so will install on 8" single wall pipe without an issue. The fit is snug and seats solidly. The styling looks great as a topper for a chimney and the cap comes apart easily for cleaning.

Our chimney hood rusted and fell off, so we replaced it with this one. The price was great and the install was so easy.

The cap dimensions are not wide enough, the overall dimensions on the cap should be much wider than the unit to prevent rain from getting in. Have not installed yet, would like to know if this company has what I need.

This fit my existing chimney perfectly, keeps the birds out and looks nice.
