I knew I was going to have trouble finding a latch for a weird angle gate closure. Amazon came thru! Works GREAT! It is good sized, strong, and you can add a padlock, I highly recommend.

Read the description carefully
This product is designed for sliding doors, not doors that swing open. This is absolutely critical. My application is a swing open door and installation was quite difficult. In order to get this working, I installed where the latch needs to be in the closed position when closing the door. You cannot swing the latch like you normally would. Using in this manner allows it to work, although less than ideal. The construction is great, it is a solid piece. I feel the seller gets slammed too hard by buyers (like me) for not fully reading the description and realizing this is a sliding door product. Given the realization of the product's actual intent, it is a good product. I would prefer longer mounting screws, but this is not a high security product, but is a deterrence or securing product.

Solid latch to stop raccoon
Just what it looks like. Suggest making a jig for screw placement as this latch is well made and a snug fit.

The only problem is that the screws are not long enough they are just about 3/4" long. The other issue is that the instructions included in the box are for installing a toilet paper holder and glass shelf. Now the lock is easy enough to install without instructions but I'm thinking whoever purchased the other items needs instructions.
