Are the ideas around teaching in the digital age all that new?..I don't think so, it is an exercise in relabelling. However, I don't deny the authors' very good intentions of assisting better teaching in the digital era. Its greatest contribution is to make teachers aware that they have to think really carefully about the incorporation of digital devices into classrooms and learning situations. I think there is something in the fact that children have different learning experiences, ie more electronic, less physical artefact eg, books, but that does not radically change the fundamentals of learning and teaching? No!

A very good book about teaching in the future. A book that is well put together and I have learned a lot from based on my field of study.

Was required reading for one of my classes at university. Good research and logical solutions to getting students to use solution fluency in high, low and no tech classrooms.

Lee Crockett came to our school district this fall to speak about 21st Century Skills. This goes far beyond just use of technology, but rather looking at the application of skills and knowledge through projects students are interested in doing. Don't we all go far above and beyond if we like what we are doing? Aren't students the same? Innovation and the higher levels of the new Bloom are critical for schools to adopt. This is an excellent book to get the conversations going on how to make our schools appicable to today's world and not museums.

The authors seemed arrogant and out of touch with reality.

This book is wonderful for any educator. This book is both thought provoking and practical. I will be one I refer to and use with staff.
