10624 1/4-Inch by 4-Foot Fiberglass Extension Rod

I purchased 2 by accident but it turned out to be the prefect addition to finish cleaning the chimney. I have an elbow in the chimney and it pushes right by without an issue or breaking.

Like the length, attached a small round wire brush and use it to clean my wood stove pipe that goes into the chimney.

I needed four of these to sweep out the flexibile 6" SS flexible liner for my wood stove. It is a straight shot down the chimney so I didn't need to turn a corner or anything. The first two rods were easy to push down but when adding the third the whole system got too flexy and it became difficult to push down the brush. The rods would flex and press against the liner so there was more friction and more compliance, making it difficult to progress. The fourth was even harder and I don't think a fifth would have worked at all. All in all it worked and was a good price, so I am happy with it, but if I have to buy new ones, I'd buy ones that are less flexible.

Love the product. It went together easy and worked great with the brush I already had. I think the hardest part of cleaning my chimney was dragging the ladder out and the best part was I don't have to pay someone $120 to do a 20 min job

from all the pictures it looks like you're getting two rods, but you only get one. It comes with no packaging at all. Just a couple of bar code labels stuck to the one rod. mine arrived undamaged. you might not be so lucky. and you need to know you're only getting one rod, regardless of all the two-rod pictures.

They connected and made my job easy when cleaning my chimney! Highly recommend to anyone who wants to stop paying someone to clean their chimney. I had bought 5 for a total of 20 feet and was light weight and very easy to maneuver.

I was tired of shelling out $300+ each year to have my chimney cleaned - how hard could it be? Quite easy - I measured my chimney diameter and picked up the corresponding brush size (Rutland 10" square Rutland Products 16510 10-Inch Square Chimney Cleaning Brush ) and 7 of these matching fiberglass rods (I only needed 6 for my chimney). Just screw the extensions on as the brush goes down. The last stretch of my chimney had an odd twist to it that I was not able to navigate, so I attached a rope to the other side of the brush and pulled it through from the bottom for the last little bit.

Work as designed. Very sturdy and easy to assembly. Good price for the length. I expect that these will pretty much last me forever!

The package arrived with the rods broken and splintered. As of today it's been about 2 weeks and no replacement has been offered.

It is hard to find poles with quarter inch fittings. My application could not deal with a longer pole. This met all expectations.

Either the company needs to have different ends with different threads or provide an adaptor, but I can't use this handle at all. Have to return in.
