LIFETIME 60139 Outdoor Convertible Bench, 55 Inch, Mocha Brown

Outstanding bench/Table. Heavy and stable. I use it in an outdoor area where people gather around a fire. When people arrive, it's a bench. When the crowd thins, I turn it into a bar you can sit at and nurse your beer. If you want to have a meal, I put the two together to form a stable picnic table (I bought two). Hopefully Lifetime keeps making these.

This is a very well-designed and practical outdoor piece, especially if you want flexibility without taking up extra space. The ability to convert between a bench and a table is what really makes this stand out. It transitions between the two functions and gives you flexibility to use it for seating or as a table depending on your needs, which is especially useful for outdoor spaces. I’ve found it to be very versatile. It works well for seating, but also becomes a useful table for meals, gatherings, or outdoor activities. That flexibility makes it much more functional than a standard bench. Switching between configurations is fairly quick once you’re familiar with how it works. One of the biggest reasons I was confident purchasing this is that I already have a similar set from Lifetime that was gifted to me about 20 years ago. They are essentially the same design, just a different color, and they have held up incredibly well over time. Even though we try to cover or store them during the winter months, we have not always been consistent with that, and they are still in great condition. They have proven to be very solid and durable, which is why I have been looking to add more of them. The construction feels solid and stable, which is important for something that converts. It holds up well in outdoor conditions and feels durable enough for regular use. I purchased two of these, and when placed together in the table configuration, they create a really nice picnic-style setup, which adds even more flexibility for gatherings and outdoor meals. It is also relatively easy to move when needed, so you can reposition it depending on how you’re using your space. Like my title states, I’m happy with this purchase. The bench came in great condition. The faux wooden slats were intact with no breaks or warping. Was easy to put together by myself. Instructions were easy to follow. The included hardware was nicely packaged, labeled, and easy to find. Only extra tool you’ll need is maybe a needle nose plier for the spring. All the screw holes lined up with no major issue threading the screws through. Converting from bench to table is a breeze. I’m about 200lbs and don’t notice any flex to the faux wood when I’m sitting on it. If i had any complaint it’s that the metal frame has some minor dings to it, no major dents. Whether the bench holds up to the elements, only time will tell. I’m hoping no major rust issues occurs in the future. There is a youtube tutorial if you want to replace the faux wood slats to real wood, but I’ll hold off till i actually need to repair the slats. Otherwise I’m happy with this bench. Glad mine had no significant damage to warrant a replacement. Considering buying another one in the future to make a full size picnic table.

UPDATE: After this review and contacting Amazon directly the seller sent a replacement part. I will raise this one star to 4☆. However, item quality is 4.5 to 5☆ as my inlaws have had theirs for *years* and it has held up very well. I also have had no problems with mine. 4.5-5☆ product quality 3.5-4☆ customer service Overall, 4☆. ========= I got these after my in laws had them in their back yard for quite a few years now (4?) and they stood up to the Bay Area elements very well. They have the green benches and they are still sturdy and have retained their color pretty well. Good: - pretty easy to put together, though the bolts under the hinge are hard to tighten because of tight quarters it's overall pretty easy to do (and I'm an idiot!). - durable/sturdy, if yours isn't it is likely because it isn't tightened enough. - nice looking and versatile - value: price isn't too bad considering they serve as bench or picnic table, and should last a while (based on my in laws as test case) Meh: - arrived cracked in one of the slats - called Amazon and they directed me to Lifetime customer care - left a message with Lifetine and never heard from them Bottom line: if yours arrives in one piece you should be pretty happy with it. If it doesn't I'm not sure what your experience might be. Four stars without the customer service issue, therefore I only give it three stars. If they would have followed up with me and replaced the part I would have bought two more and recommended it - now, I'm not so sure if I would.

Awesome sturdy product! Great value!

Easy to assemble with construction and handyman background knowledge. Instructions was little confusing but picture does help to install. Overall hardware is great and looks great. Will be purchasing another bench/table in the near future to make a full picnic table. Family night backyard the fire pit priceless.

Saw this at Rv park. Had to have. It comes in a million pieces but hubby was able to put together nice n sturdy awesome piece. Used to be about 40 bucks cheaper before everyone jumped on the covid bandwagon Only con is it stains! Other than the hiked price, it’s such a cool piece to own

This is the nicest outdoor bench I've ever seen. It is very well made and assembly instructions are easy to follow. Great product!! Keep up the outstanding work
